Thank you, Jon Stewart. Thank you.

“And that is not to say that she is not preferable to Donald Trump, because at this point I would vote for Mr. T over Donald Trump, but she will be in big trouble if she can’t find a way — and maybe I’m wrong, maybe a real person doesn’t exist underneath there. I don’t know.”

Since I just saw this, I’ll forward it on here. Campaign to date, Bernie has raised just $1 million less than Hillary, though has spent $11 million more. $186 million to $185 million both which dwarf Trump’s $49 million.

If you click the link, you can switch back and forth between candidates as well as those who’ve put money up in PAC’s either supporting or against them.

With just this short overview, it is obvious where real people are putting their money. This truly is a campaign between big money and little people…..

Jon Stewart – the Walter Cronkite for our time.

I watched the whole clip. I am now seeing deja vu upon remembering how in May 2000, we began hearing the first surfacing of very similar criticisms of Al Gore. It too started with comedians.

We know how that turned out: badly. Although it may be true, and it probably is to be expected since both the two followed extremely cool presidential figures… with hindsight one can see that, how cool a person may appear, has little relevancy on their supreme court picks, their tax policies, their support of women and minorities, or their warmongering tendencies…

Those things actually have impact on our future, not how “authentic” a candidate appears to be…

Funny thing is, because of the credibility Jon Stewart has, I was almost swayed by his argument until that little memory buried under 16 year of clutter, was jogged.

It turned out badly because some self righteous assholes voted for Nader.

@k “I am now seeing deja vu upon remembering how in May 2000, we began hearing the first surfacing of very similar criticisms of Al Gore.”

And the sad thing.. It was all basically a lie. Al Gore was quite personable and authentic, off the clock. I remember waiting outside at a university (where one of his kids was attending…and he was waiting for) (away from the crowds), and the one-on-one discussion was quite informative and pleasant. He was definitely someone you could enjoy beer or two with…

I see what DD did there. Though of course, he ignores the elephant in the room. BTW, the definition of self-righteous is “having or characterized by a certainty, especially an unfounded one, that one is totally correct or morally superior.” All I have been doing is pointing out certain outstanding flaws in Hillary Clinton which some Clinton supporters can’t handle.

But for shits and giggles, try to stay on topic and comment on Stewart’s remarks.

  7. Ben says:

CLEARLY the fake-news host in Stewart wants Trump to win, so his former show has 2 more years of material (i say 2, because that is how long it will take Der Fuhrer to make mocking him illegal.)

  8. Jason330 says:

Is someone keeping a list of who to blame when/if Clintin gets beat? So far I have: Bernie, Hippies, Jon Stewart, Nemski, … I’m sure this will grow but will always somehow exclude Clibton.

  9. pandora says:

Of course, Clinton has responsibility. Another thing I’ve said before.

I love looking back on 2008. Remember when everyone was yelling at Clinton, saying she had better endorse and campaign for Obama and if he didn’t win it would have been her fault? Good times.
