One Of the Good Guys Leaving Elective Office.

Thankfully, for a good reason.  Sussex County Justice of the Peace John Brady will take a court appointed position in Sussex County and will not run for reelection.

He has been an integral figure in the expansion of equal rights for all Delaware citizens, and he’s changed things for the better.

I just hope some other long-time fixtures (especially ex-cops) heed his departing words:

“”I have always enjoyed — really, I’ve loved — being an elected official in Sussex County. For me not to be on the ballot this November will be a little strange,” Brady said. “It’s time for that next generation of leaders to come forward, and I wish them well.”
