The Weekly Addresses

Filed in National by on April 16, 2016

In this week’s address, the President discussed important steps the Administration has taken to encourage competition – the most essential ingredient in a healthy free market.

In his weekly message, Governor Markell highlights how the state is supporting efforts to connect Delawareans to affordable education and workforce training opportunities beyond high school at a time when continuing education is increasingly necessary to compete for good jobs in the new economy.

This week, the President commemorated Equal Pay Day by designating a new national monument, hosted smart girls and boys at the 6th White House Science Fair, met with the National Security Council to discuss the counter ISIL effort, and kicked off the Wounded Warrior Ride.

In the final months of his Presidency, Obama pulls at a few threads in the snarl of rigging in the economy.

The primary may not be pulling Hillary to the left, but I love the effect it is having on Obama. I tell you, he’s feeling the Bern!

I guess the difference is, Obama isn’t expecting any more corporate contributions.

  2. Delaware Dem says:

So now you are impugning the President’s integrity too. A great strategy to win a Democratic primary.

  3. puck says:

Somebody’s going to win the primary.

  4. Delaware Dem says:

Indeed, and that somebody is the person who has embraced the overwhelmingly popular President rather than the person who wanted him primaried in 2012.

  5. puck says:

Just think how many more or these pro-99% executive orders we could have had, and sooner, if Obama had been primaried from the left in 2012.

On the other hand, maybe if Obama had not embraced the 1% in his first term, the 1% might have been able to deliver President Romney.

Hopefully the 2016 primary will mark the last time Dems can gain an advantage by selling out the 99% for the 1%.

Grow up, DelDem. For the love of all that is holy, GROW THE FUCK UP.

  7. Delaware Dem says:

LOL. In this primary race, where one side faces reality and is grown up and adult, and the other side lives in a fantasy world and in a constant state of delusion, you should really direct your anger at those who really do need to grow the fuck up.

  8. You’re the self-styled grown-up? Just like Carper and his people are the self-proclaimed grown-ups in Delaware politics? If indeed you’re the grown-up, then your prose hasn’t come close to catching up with you.

  9. Ben says:

“faces reality” = blindly compromising with a party that only wants to burn the country down and rebuild it as an Ayn Rand wet dream.
Enjoy your “adult world”, where a $12/hr gets negotiated down to 9 and we’re told to be happy and grateful about it… Im sure you’ll write a post about how WONDERFUL Dear Leader is and how all the single parents making $9/hr should thank her every morning for their bounty of riches.
I’ll be one of the people never shutting up for the folks Clinton is going to compromise away. sellout.
