If you are reading this site and you are not registered to vote….

….come here, ’cause I’m gonna slap you upside your head. Seriously, if you know anyone who is not registered to vote in the upcoming presidential and state primaries, here are some dates and forms for you. First, if you want to vote in Delaware’s Presidential Democratic or Republican Primary on April 26th and you are currently registered as “Unaffiliated” or for some other minor party, you must re-register as a member of a political party by February 26.

February 26, 2016–Deadline to change party before Presidential Primary
April 2, 2016–Deadline to register to vote in Presidential Primary
April 26, 2016–Presidential Primary – Polls open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
May 28 2016–Deadline to change party before Primary Election
August 20, 2016–Deadline to register to vote in Primary Election
September 13, 2016–Primary Election – Polls open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm
October 15, 2016–Deadline to register to vote in the General Election
November 8, 2016–General Election – Polls open from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm

    hmm, to change registration to Republican to try to mess with their race or not, that is the question… 🙂

    If you are a Republican or registered Independent and live in Wilmington and are interested in making sure Mayor Williams doesn’t get a second term, I encourage you to change your registration to Democrat to be able to vote in the Mayoral Primary. That is when the election will be decided and you can change your registration *after* the Presidential primary. I think that there is time to switch back for the General.
