With No Sense of Irony, Christine O’Donnell says the FEC suit against her is a “Witch Hunt”

Filed in National by on November 21, 2015

Our favorite local Sarah Palin, failed 2010 GOP Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell, says that the FEC lawsuit alleging that she illegally used campaign donations for personal expenses is actually a “witch hunt” and that she can’t get a new attorney in Delaware because they are being intimidated.

She is also having trouble hiring a local attorney, she said, claiming that at least three lawyers she has talked to have received phone calls warning of “political backlash” if they represent her. Her former local attorney, Richard Abbott, withdrew last month, saying he hasn’t been paid for his services.

Really???! Well surely these attorneys will swear out affidavits under oath supporting this shocking allegation!

Yeah not so much:

[O’Donnell] declined to identify [the attorneys] or provide further details, noting that an Associated Press reporter was listening to the teleconference [of supporters].

Luckily, she refuses to represent herself, which might be the first intelligent thing she has ever done.

“I’m not a lawyer. I’m not familiar with federal election law,” said O’Donnell, adding that she parted ways with another attorney, Cleta Mitchell, over a proposed settlement with the FEC. O’Donnell said she was willing to settle if the FEC changed language that “made me appear guilty,” but that the FEC declined to do so.

Yeah, usually when you enter into a plea agreement you plead guilty.

If an attorney in Delaware actually told O’Donnell, that there would be “political backlash” if they represented her, they obviously meant that they, themselves, would lose the credibility to ever run for office after representing an internationally renowned nut job.

I doubt any of the story was true, if she wasn’t under oath, she was probably lying to the judge and falling back on her usual victim act.

I believe he is available and has a history of taking cases with no merit.

    “I am not a lawyer.”

At this point, she’s qualified to be the medical officer on the starship Enterprise.

But she’s still off the mark here. A witch hunt is where one goes out looking for witches. This one has already reached the witch trial stage.
