Now that Carney is no longer viable as a Governor, who should replace him?

Filed in National by on November 19, 2015

Vote in the poll and mention ideas below. Here are mine:

Bethany Hall Long (already running for Lt. Governor, perhaps she can be convinced to remove the Lt.)
Paul Baumbach.
Bryan Townsend (yeah, he is already running for Congress, but perhaps he is more valuable in Dover?)
Sean Lynn.
John Kowalko.

  1. Hall-Long. Baumbach and Kowalko should stay in the House where they can keep the legislature moving with good bills.

  2. John Peters says:

Brian Townsend, John kowalko…Legalize Delaware…. Markell can’t leave fast enough

  3. Matt Denn. It’s not too late to jump in, Matt.

  4. Delaware Dem says:

Duh, how could I forget about Matt Denn???

  5. I think Governor Kim Williams has an awesome sound!

  6. mediawatch says:

First elected Dem to publicly call out Carney on his vote gets my backing. I’m not holding my breath, and neither should the rest of you. We might prefer all the others to Carney … but if they don’t have the decency and courage to criticize Carney’s vote, why should we even think they’d consider making a challenge?

  7. Jason330 says:

I think we all know nothing is going to happen. No Democrat is going primary Carney, and no legitimate candidate will be offered by any other party.

Carney will be the next Governor. He’ll sign a bill eliminating the estate tax and peace and prosperity will reign.

  8. June says:

I don’t think Matt Denn will change his mind, but if a lot of Dems put pressure on Bryan Townsend, maybe he’d primary Carney. It’s worth a try. Let’s try!

  9. c'est la vie says:

Sean Lynn would have my vote.
