Romney Got Trumped

Filed in National by on October 27, 2015

The struggle was real for Donald J. Trump back in the day: “It has not been easy for me. It has not been easy for me. I started off in Brooklyn. My father gave me a small loan of a million dollars,” Trump remarked.

Parents take note, try not to make it hard on your kids. Keep your loans to them maxed out at $1 million a pop, okay? Let’s not spoil them. How else can they learn the true value of roll up your sleeves hard work?

I didn’t think it was possible to out-Romney the ol’ Mittster himself. I stand corrected. And I’m all out of popcorn. Time to hit the grocery store.

I caught Trumps spokesperson trying to work this a little on TV last night. The thrust of his argument was that “relative to his current net worth, which he earned, the million was a small loan.”

Not sure that is going to play. “…a small loan of a million dollars” is a pretty sticky phrase.

I can’t believe Trump was the one to put to bed the “I pulled myself up from bootstraps” meme he created years ago.

Trumps considers his rube supporters as the hired help for low end jobs he can’t outsource

Ohhhh, so is this why Ben Carson is taking the lead in some of the polls?

It’s this or the message of a Seventh-day Adventist who makes ad nauseam slavery & holocaust analogies is beginning to really resonate.

“You have no reason to remember, but we came out of the White House not only dead broke, but in debt,”

Then, they bought a $2.85 million dollar house.
    Guess who???

@A “Then, they bought a $2.85 million dollar house.”

That’s not very hard to do… All you need is a projected income of about $600k, and it’s rather easy.

And that’s pretty modest for an ex-president.

You’d prefer that she move into a trailer park or something?

If I was starting out today on my salary, I would be sharing a trailer in Delmar with a couple other guys

Then, there was that time when Trumps dad went and got $3.4 million in chips at his sons casino so Donny could stay current on his loans…….

If Donald Trump took the $1m loan, changed his name to Igor Schmendrick, moved to Chicago, and turned the loan into an thriving empire, the story would have more merit.

The start of Trumps career relied heavily on the family name and connections.
