Hot, Hot, Hot.. but the Mississippi River hasn’t boiled away yet, so global warming is a hoax

Filed in National by on August 21, 2015

July was the hottest month on Earth since records began, averaging 16.6 C (61.9 F), according to US scientists.

That is 0.08 degrees higher than the previous record, set in July 1998 – a significant margin in weather records.

Scientists at the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) said in a report that they expect 2015 to be the hottest year on record.

Nine of the 10 hottest months since records began in 1880 have occurred since 2005, they NOAA report said.

Scientists say global climate change and the impacts of the El Nino weather phenomenon are behind the record temperatures.

The first seven months of 2015 have already set an all-time temperature record for the period.

“The world is warming. It is continuing to warm. That is being shown time and time again in our data,” said Jake Crouch, physical scientist at NOAA’s National Centres for Environmental Information.

We could be guided by science, reason, and rationality, but that would conflict with our sacred duty to protect the profitability of oil, coal and natural gas companies.

Elitist snob who has facilitated the rise of Trump. Congratulate yourself.

The idea, that it is the sacred duty to protect the profitability of carbon extractors, comes from our main stream media. And in America, a lot of people still trust them to tell them what is the truth…

When that gets changed. Our country will change… (Any ideas on how to disseminate John Oliver to our grandparents?)

  6. pandora says:

Wait… what? Did FBH just blame someone other than Republicans for his party’s front runner?

  7. cassandra m says:

Of course he did, why would he start taking personal responsibility seriously now? The elitist snob who pushed Trump into the position he is in now is called Roger Ailes. FBH’s serious buddy.

“The idea, that it is the sacred duty to protect the profitability of carbon extractors, comes from our main stream media.”

“Carbon extractors”…? That’s a good one. What or who is a carbon extractor? It seems that you have been hypersensitised to the word carbon? In other words, you have been so brainwashed by current popular culture, that you are now demonizing an element used in making pencils and tennis racquets.

Here. I’ll fix it for you.

The idea, that it is the sacred duty to protect the profitability of carbon-based fuel extractors, comes from our main stream media.

    Ok, that’s better.

Here. I’ll fix it for you.

The idea that taking one or two undergrad courses on climatology makes you an expert in something you didn’t major in, yet alone studied at the graduate level, is nuts. But, perhaps, you are actively employed in the field? You do work in this field, right? That’s why you know so much and should be taken seriously, right?

And, please explain how Donald Trump is anyone’s fault but the GOP’s. I’ll wait.

  11. fightingbluehen says:

Who’s claiming to be an expert? I’m just talking about basic chemistry. You know, the periodic table of elements of which carbon is one of those elements, and as far as Trump goes, the general atmosphere of excess political correctness, mandated mostly by the left, has given Trump the ability to succeed.
Trump tells it like it is. This is why every time he says something that is not “politically correct”, his numbers rise.

  12. pandora says:

Trump’s boorish behavior resonates with the GOP base. Stop blaming liberals for your party’s racist and bigoted ways. You guys own this… and him.

And you aren’t talking about basic chemistry. I get that your science 101 courses make you believe you’re an expert, but you’re not.

  13. SussexAnon says:

The problem with Trump ‘telling it like it is’ is because he goes full Trump on it. Some of his premises have merit without having to go all racist and misogynist. But like a moth to a flame, Trump has to be a dickhead about everything. Which is probably why his communication director quit.

What his supporters don’t realize is that once Trump gets what he wants, he will fuck them just like he has fucked everyone else along the road to his “success.” And then call them useless losers like he has done so many times before.

  14. fightingbluehen says:

Ok, pandora. If you’re so smart, then maybe you can explain what or who, these “carbon extractors” are ,right? Because that’s what I was making fun of, and that’s what you seem to be berating me over.

  15. fightingbluehen says:

The mainstream media (Democrats) keep harping on Trump like they are both enamored and scared of him at the same time. It’s almost like they are channeling Brer Rabbit ,and saying please don’t throw us into the Trump patch. I don’t trust them. I guarantee that Hillary would rather face Trump than, like say, Ben Carson or Ted Cruz or even Jeb Bush.

  16. SussexAnon says:

Still haven’t figured out that the media is driven by group think “what’s the hot topic today” bullshit?

It’s People magazine with ugly people.

  17. mouse says:

That’s a big problem with climate change science. It’s very complicated and multifaceted in fluid dynamics, physics, climatology and chemistry. Uneducated conservative republicans don’t trust anything they can’t narrow down to a slogan. As soon as climate change starts sending lots of refugees here, the conservatives will be on board
