Some dude, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, announced today. Who cares? Not us. Nobody has Kasich and also… additionally, he is no Donald Trump. Will Kasich make it to the Fox News debate and thereby and legitimize his candidacy?

If he does I’ll talk about him then.

Scott Walker, guy who could seriously win the nomination says that he’d be prepared to bomb Iran in his inauguration day.

Speaking to reporters [in Iowa] Saturday after an appearance at the Family Leader Summit, Walker said the next president will need to be prepared to take aggressive action against Iran, “very possibly” including military strikes, on the day he or she is inaugurated, and said he would not be comfortable with a commander in chief who is unwilling to act aggressively on day one of a new presidency.

  8. John Manifold says:

    Robert Reich:

Of all Republican hopefuls, John Kasich, who announced his bid yesterday, is the best of a bad lot. Kasich has as much experience and an equal or better record than the other governors running, and more experience in government than the rest of the field combined. …

I dealt with Kasich when he was a congressman from Ohio and headed the Budget Committee, and found him to be honest, forthright, and willing to listen and change his mind if the arguments were against him. Although a social conservative, against abortion and for the death penalty, Kasich has accused his party of waging a war on the poor, and has spoken up for immigrants. He has argued against repeal of the Affordable Care Act, and has taken Medicaid expansion dollars. …

In other words, he doesn’t have a chance of getting the Republican nomination.

  9. Jason330 says:

He is the best of a bunch of maniacs. But Kasich wants to invade Syria now, “boots on the ground” as they say to fight ISIL. So he is still a maniac.
