Happy Birthday Jason330.

Filed in Delaware by on April 12, 2015

Our illustrious founder is a half a century old now. Jason has had some iconic moments, like using his bare chested torso as a petition, encouraging all to sign his body so as to lobby for open government back in the halcyon days of Progressives in Delaware. I however cannot find a picture of that. But here is a picture of Jason celebrating in front of a disgruntled conservative’s sign downstate right after President Obama’s election in 2008.

Happy Birthday Jason. Here’s to many many more.

50 is the new 30……years from being 20….

Did you know you were born the same day the Twins beat the Yankees in 11 innings–after 4 of the Twins were airlifted to the stadium over a flooding river? It was destiny Jason! Just like you–you show up, hang in for the long game and take big chances against giants.

Happy Birthday Jason. Now is the next 50 wisdom or experience?

Thanks for what your time on earth has brought all of us!! 🙂 All the best!

Thanks for the kind words. I think that picture was taken the day after Obama won? How optimistic we were about the prospect of impending socialism. Even Sussex county realtors celebrated!

The comments on Al Mascitti’s old News Journal blog were once a cesspool with the usual proto-teabaggers dominating the discussion. figured that was representative of Delaware and middle-class people everywhere. Then I noticed somebody named “jason” who cut through the fever swamp like butter, with insight and killer humor. LIke most Democrats after 2001 I figured America was in a conservative death spiral, and until then I hadn’t realized the right wing could actually be challenged. I thought Mike Castle was untouchable, but there was jason calling Castle out for his Republican votes, and I went “Oh yeah, why didn’t I think of that?”

Shortly after that DL was born and jason eventually picked up the mysterious 330, like Rolling Rock.

I guess that death spiral thing is still on the table, though.
