The Washington Post begs the question, should the leader of the free world, the commander in chief of the planet’s largest military force, and the person who makes life and death decisions on almost every possible topic, thus necessitating some complex analytical and thinking skills usually taught at an institute of higher learning, have at the very least a college degree:

“What is clear is that if Walker ascended to the White House — he’s holding his own in most GOP primary polls — he’d be the first president in more than 60 years without at least a bachelor’s degree. Of America’s 44 presidents, just 11 didn’t graduate from college.”

The answer to the begged question is yes, you fucking idiot moron, of course the President of the United States must have a college degree at the very least. Even George W. Bush had a college degree, and if that brain jackass could do it, so too should have Scott Walker if he wants to President.

A lack of a college education is probably the reason Scott Walker does not believe in evolution (and no, I will not accept his dodging indirection, as this is an issue that you either believe in evidence, science and facts and you loudly proclaim it, or you don’t and thus don’t). He doesn’t believe in evolution because he never learned about it. I wonder what else he never learned about. History? Math?

The Wall Street Journal is wondering what is taking Hillary Clinton so long in beginning her campaign.

“Hillary Clinton is all but certain to seek her party’s nomination, and there are no signs she will have a serious challenge. But there is some drama—and tension among Democrats—surrounding her timetable. Many of those close to her believe that the former secretary of state can wait as long as she wants and is best served by delaying her entry in the 2016 race. At this point, an announcement is most likely to come between April and July, people familiar with the matter say.

Some allies and prominent Democrats say she needs to jump in sooner than that and begin raising campaign funds and organizing in states with early contests, even if the payoff means more in the general election than the primaries.”

Ah the media, especially the right wing media, loves their Democrats in disarray stories. Does Hillary Clinton have any announced or possibly credible opposition in the Democratic Party right now? No. The only possible threat is Elizabeth Warren, and she is not running. So there is no incentive to begin a campaign now. These “some allies and prominent Democrats” are just looking for campaign jobs so they can get a paycheck, and they need to shut up. Fundraising is not a concern, for if there is one thing the Clintons can do well is raise money and quickly.

“I’ve had many friends who are homosexual.”

Alabama Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, adding that he would never attend a gay wedding. The operative word in that quote is “had.” I doubt, after the Chief Justice’s actions this past week, and well, throughout his radical reich wing religious fanatic bigoted career, that Mr. Moore has any current homosexual friends.

“It’s about the worst 30 days I’ve seen of any candidate. In his first couple of years, he had a lot of promise. But people who a year ago thought he was viable now say he’s not. He’ll be the Tim Pawlenty of this election cycle.”

GOP strategist Ed Rollins, on Gov. Chris Christie. I agree, Christie will flame out massively, and since New Jersey financial rules will limit his fundraising ability, I wonder if Christie will even make it to Iowa. Pawlenty didn’t either.

Seems to me , the Ivy Leaguers are the ones who have messed things up so much.

This thread or column is a waste of energy. There is zero chance that Scott Walker is going to get the GOP 2016 presidential nomination, no matter what the polls 21 months before the election say, so you can start expending your energy trying to dream up how it is possible that any other human being could be a worse President than Barack Obama has been.

  3. SussexAnon says:

Yeah that MBA W. Bush had really came in handy.

And that’s a twofer. He also is a human being that WAS a worse President than Obama.

  4. Robberbaron says:

And don’t forget Barry and Moochelle- free rides at Columbia and Harvard.

    “Barry and Moochelle”

Usually by the time one reaches their late teens, they stop bastardizing names as an insult. That people continue to employ this juvenile device suggests that their mental development and maturation has been stunted or that they are so devoid of intellect that is all they can muster to express their opinion on a particular topic.

  6. Geezer says:

The college Walker attended was Marquette, a Catholic college. So he probably wouldn’t have learned much evolutionary theory even if he had graduated.

  7. Geezer says:

As for the notion that Obama has been a poor president, sorry, Rusty, not even close. He started zero wars, started zero recessions, but managed to stabilize our positions in two countries we subjected to ill-considered invasions while avoiding a depression despite the active work of the GOP to keep us in one. That’s without even counting the health-care law that pulled us, belatedly, into the 20th century just in time for the 21st.

He’s got a barrel full of flaws, and is no liberal, but he’s the best president since LBJ.

  8. Geezer says:

And Ed Rollins is wrong. Christie is the Giuliani of this election cycle. Scott Walker is the Pawlenty.

A Catholic, Jesuit-run college. It is more likely that Walker ran away from the biology classes where they were teaching evolutionary principles at this college.

  10. Geezer says:

Thank you for the correction. The Jesuits are legit.

He’s a fundie, isn’t he? The Catholics and fundies might agree on abortion, but the Jesuits aren’t anti-intellectual.

  11. cassandra_m says:

I think his family is Baptist, so I can see running away from Jesuits.
