62 comments is a long comments thread. Put new comments here. As for me – looking at this conflict through a purely military tactics lens – you have to give the advantage to Israel. The UN school’s missile defense systems seem to be sorely lacking.
True, but the UN schools have built up a surprising offensive capability for schools, storing Qassam rockets and launching them from their sidewalks and courtyards. Unfortunately the UN schools did not take the likelihood of return fire into account, relying for protection instead on the defensive dome of world opinion.
We have common ground. UN Schools are overmatched.
