It’s World Cup Game Day for the Americans and the Germans. So you should be out watching the game right now. Your boss is.

Triumph the Insult Comic Dog takes on the World Cup in Queens.

KANSAS–GOVERNOR–Survey USA: Paul Davis (D) 47, Gov. Sam Brownback (R) 41, Keen Umbehr (L) 5.

Wow. The Dems are really going to win the Kansas governorship. That is unexpected.

CALIFORNIA–GOVERNOR–Field Poll: Gov. Jerry Brown (D) 52, Neel Kashkari (R) 32.

Howard Baker has died, possibly one of the last sane Republicans.

SCANDAL!!! The new Miss Delaware stripped of crown after only two weeks:

Competition rules show competing girls must be at least 17 and no older than 24. Since Longacre will turn 25 before the end of the year and cannot compete in the Miss America pageant, she’s been disqualified.

It appears Longacre’s age was prominently displayed on all paperwork so it’s unclear why now her title is now being revoked in what appears to be an oversight on the part of pageant officials.

Were all pro sports to be ended tomorrow the only one I would miss would be soccer, sports and musician in general do not mix. As for Delaware Miss America you make it sound like a scandal, anything but as the mistake seems bureaucratic. Howard Baker, as noted a sane Republican, not so long ago there were many.

@b “As for Delaware Miss America you make it sound like a scandal, anything but as the mistake seems bureaucratic.”

It’s a scandal in that it only mattered when the national organization got involved. She should sue them. It was apparently their mistake. Why should she have to pay for it?

I say we now have two Miss Delawares. LIke two popes.

If it was in fact the pageant’s mistake, she could have a case for damages, but I don’t think she would be reinstated as Miss Delaware seeing that she exceeds the age according to the pageant rules.

She could be reimbursed for her time and expenses I suppose, and there could be possible damage to her reputation that could be considered damaging to her “brand” , but I don’t see that happening.

There could also be some sort of mental anguish associated with the ordeal.
