Shore001-PROMO

Today, my amazingly-funny wife Kristen and I launched our new webcomic, “It’s a Shore Thing,” over at the super-cool Newsworks.org. It’s the story of a suburban family that uproot their life in the suburbs to run a beat-down bed & breakfast at the Jersey Shore, and new episodes will be posted on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

I know, I know – I should have done a comic strip about Delaware’s fine beaches. But I assure you, this is the next best thing. Plus, I plan on taking the Featherstone family on many adventures over the long hot summer, including a trek on the Lewis-Cape May Ferry and a visit to mellow Lewes.

Although, they have about as much luck getting into Agave as the rest of us.

So please check out the first strip, share it with your friends and let us know what you think!

Then they could go to Lewes! 🙂

    Gah! Rookie mistake.

The trick to agave is to adhere to a strict senior citizen dinner time of 3:30. Then you only have a 20 minute wait. SO worth it though….

Hard to tell the difference between the shore and Rehoboth anymore, anyway. As for Agave, I’ve never understood why it is so popular. Maybe the couple of margaritas you have to consume before you are seated has something to do with it. The menu is plain jane and a la carte to boot. Fajitas for two, that’ll be $42, rice and beans an extra $12. People got more money than taste.

yeah, I ate at Agave a few years back. The place is tiny, and for a place that serves high end tequila, the bar tender was sort of lacking in knowledge.

I asked for a Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia, and the bar tender snobbishly told me that they don’t have Jose Cuervo, and that they serve mostly high end tequila.

Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia is one of the best tequilas ever made, and the bar tender at a place that touts high end tequila had never heard of it ?

La Tolteca blows that place away.

Speaking of online webcomics. I cut grass for a guy named Scott Roberts who has a webcomic called “Working Daze”. The guy also did a print comic called ‘Patty Cake’.
I think the guy is some kind of comic guru or something. Real nice guy.

Wish they would pick up the dog dookie in their back yard though. 🙂

Apparently, I no longer work for Mr. Roberts. What a coincidence. C’est la vie, right.
