Reid: Republican’s reaction to Libyan militant capture “shocking” “disgusting” “insulting” “pathetic”

Filed in National by on June 17, 2014

Reid got one thing wrong – it the Republican’s reaction isn’t shocking.

“It doesn’t matter what your ideology is, you should feel good about this. There’s no conspiracy here, this is actual news. But the reaction of some of the Republicans, I’ve been told, is to downplay and insult the brave men and women of our special forces and the FBI. They’re trying to say, oh, it’s no big deal. I wonder if the men and women who captured the terrorist agree. But the Republicans said it’s no big deal. Even in these days of polarization, created by the obstruction, the delay, and diversion of the Republicans, even in these days of polarization, their reaction is shocking and disgusting. They’re so obsessed with criticism, criticizing anything President Obama does. They’ll go so far as to sit here and insult the men and women in uniform and in law enforcement. They should stop and think, just for a little bit, about what it’s like to put your life on the line and to do something for our country — that’s what they did. They’re insulting these good men and women who did some courageous things, heroic things, in order to criticize President Obama. I think they’ve lost touch with reality; it’s really pathetic, there’s no other word for it.”

I used to think crossing the troops was a line they would not cross, for most of them grinned and beared it when the President announced Bin Laden’s death at the hands of our armed forces. But now we have the Bergdahl Moment, the moment that proved our soldiers will be betrayed by the Republican Party if it suits them.

So now we can safely assume that if Jesus Christ Himself, Son of God, Messiah, Savior, were to come back and shake hands with the President and say he is doing alright, then Republicans will begin burning down Churches and converting to Islam. Or Atheism.

And this whole scene today reveals BENGHAZI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for what it is: a ginned up non-story.

@DD “And this whole scene today reveals BENGHAZI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! for what it is: a ginned up non-story.”

    Oh Hey!

What he did in the period just before the attack has remained unclear. But Mr. Abu Khattala told other Libyans in private conversations during the night of the attack that he was moved to attack the diplomatic mission to take revenge for an insult to Islam in an American-made online video.

An earlier demonstration venting anger over the video outside the American Embassy in Cairo had culminated in a breach of its walls, and it dominated Arab news coverage. Mr. Abu Khattala told both fellow Islamist fighters and others that the attack in Benghazi was retaliation for the same insulting video, according to people who heard him.

When the only justification for having a Republican party can be found in its attacking American veterans and special ops… it is time for that party to go… It’s obvious they have outworn their welcome.

Our job is whenever a Republican pokes his head out of a hole and yells Benghazi, or IRS, we whack his head with this canvas mallet and send back to Whack-A-Mole land……

Because of course it would be beneath any Democrat politician to manipulate events that affect them politically.

Hillary Clinton is involved. This means anything is possible in my opinion.

If you believe that the timing of the release of Hillary’s book, and the release of Bowe Bergdahl, and the capture of the Benghazi guy is just a coincidence, then you must be a very trusting people.

@fbh “If you believe that the timing of the release of Hillary’s book, and the release of Bowe Bergdahl, and the capture of the Benghazi guy is just a coincidence, then you must be a very trusting people.”

…and if you believe that these three things are closely related, then you must be a very stupid people.

  9. fightingbluehen says:

So, you agree that they are related , but just not closely related.

I guess it just depends on your definition of “closely” then.

In the same way “the murder of Vince Foster” is related.
