Another upstanding citizen exercises his second amendment rights

Filed in National by on June 6, 2014

Keeping tyranny a bay, Patriot Aaron Rey Ybarra killed a student and shot three others at a Seattle college having researched other mass shootings. The second amendment scholar opened fire at Seattle Pacific University shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday, walking into a lobby of the engineering and math hall, and then fired multiple rounds of freedom and liberty.

Did you notice that this Patriot was subdued by a Good Guy with a Can of Mace? What do you think the chances are that the NRA will be advocating for all of us to Open Carry Mace Cans?

  2. auntie dem says:

Any bets that the mace was illegal but the gun wasn’t?

  3. bamboozer says:

Excellent sarcastic tone. Image of the day: Rand Paul firing gunshots into the air, shouting “Liberty!” after each round.

How about less rhetoric and snark, and more positive action moving towards mental health issues plaguing this country? Gun ownership is a privilege under the 2nd, not a right. The sooner both sides STOP using the second amendment as a punishing tool and work together, the sooner we will read less of this type of headline.

The lack of meaningful mental health resources is, in the richest country in human history, inexcusable. Fund research, drop the stigma, show and believe in compassion akin to birth defect, cancer.

Maybe when we treat mental health appropriately and devote the resources to research and treatment, then we can really blast the shit out out the Second Amendment nut jobs.

Everybody has crazy people. Only America considers it tyranny to deprive them of guns.

  7. SussexAnon says:

We have laws preventing the sale of guns to crazy people.

  8. Aint's Taking it Any More says:

Only America believes in rights without real responsibility.

Suicides, family murders would never ever happen if gun owners acted with the kind of responsibility that goes along with a device that is good for nothing other that killing.

We may have laws, but we also has an overly funded organization that persuades our legislators not to pass laws to mandate waiting periods so that background checks can be thorough, all in the name of the second amendment. Our mental health system sucks, we get it. But the NRA and other organizations that have hijacked this conversation and oppose even reasonable restrictions are part of the problem. Crazy people with knives hurt people; crazy people with guns kill people, and a lot of them.
