    The project has made the Inlet unrecognizable. The grassy dunes are gone and a steel wall has been driven into the sand to prevent erosion, thankfully they’ve covered the steel wall with sand, but unless they get some beach grass growing, I expect to see the steel wall again, probably after this nor easter. The project has also ruined the North Side for surfing, which really blows because the North Side is one of only two designated surfing beaches in Delaware.

    There were a lot of beautiful plans for the areas around the old and new bridges, but so far I’ve seen little progress. Maybe they’ll leave it in this ugly state so no one complains when George Bunting’s son gets to build a casino on grounds slated for parks.
