Ah, the smell of conservative civil war napalm in the morning…

Filed in Delaware by on April 5, 2013

… or evening, as the case may be. I agree with Nancy, I can’t tell what the actual policy difference is between Frank Knotts and his new Delaware Right blog and David Anderson and Don Ayotte and their Delaware Politics blog, except that the latter calls the former a RINO just because the former found his inner libertarian and decided that maybe the Republican Party in Delaware should not follow the path of insane Sheriff Jeff Christopher.

Here is the latest on the battle from Don Ayotte:

A new Delaware Political Action Committee formed in October of 2012, and fronted by a blogsite called, “Delaware Right” is a deception created by Republican left-of-center moderates, posing as conservatives to eliminate the “Tea-Party Conservative Republicans from having a voice in party politics. Since Karl Rove, Reince Priebus and John Sigler have declared war on the conservative wing of the Republican Party, along with the death of Conservative Sussex County Chairman Jerry Wood in December 2012, this movement has been gaining speed in Delaware.

The PAC had its beginnings in October of 2012, founded by moderate republicans posing as true conservatives. Funded by wealthy developer-entrepreneur Daniel Anderson of Rehoboth Beach, with a single donation of $100,000, the PAC’s blogsite Delaware Right’s writer is Frank Knotts, a devout left-of-center republican, who suddenly says he’s “seen the light,” and has reformed his former ultra-conservative ways. The PAC is headed by former Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Jeff Cragg, and is merely a shill for raising money for this now left-wing faction of the republican party. You are invited to click on the blogsite’s “donate button,” to donate money to keep them rolling.

The Sussex GOP has thrown in with the new PAC, by announcing in a recent e-mail that Jeff Cragg is the main speaker at the their monthly committee meeting on Monday, April 8, at 7 p.m., at Georgetown’s Cheer Center. Come one, come all and express your opinions at this meeting!!

While you all get your popcorn and other libations necessary to enjoy this, I should tell Mr. Ayotte that I am a left of center liberal, as are my fellow colleagues here at Delaware Liberal, and I and we can tell you that whatever Mr. Knotts and those behind Delaware Right are, they are not left of center. See, I think you are confused about the linear political spectrum and where everyone is placed on it.

Now, in today’s political world, there are no elected Republicans anywhere in this country, either on the Federal or the State level, that fall to the left of that Center / Moderate point. So by definition, there are no left wing factions of the Republican party when you refer to the political spectrum as a whole. It didn’t used to be this way. In the 1950’s and 1960’s, yes, there were liberal Republicans who could be described as being left wing. But back then both of the main political parties, Democrats and Republicans, had liberal and conservative wings. Dixiecrats in the South were very conservative, properly placed underneath the Conservative Right banner on the line, but they were Democrats back then, a result of the Civil War. But along came Goldwater, Nixon and Reagan, all three of which caused a great realignment of the Republican Party so that, over the last forty years, all Republicans became conservative and mostly all conservatives became Republicans. Meanwhile, over time, all liberals to the left of the Center spot on the line became Democrats, or were simply voted out of office after losing primaries.

So Don, whatever Frank Knotts and Jeff Cragg are, they are not left wing, or liberal. They are firmly to the right on the line, underneath the Conservative Right banner. The problem you are experiencing is this: you are a Tea Partier, and you are so far right that you are no longer on the line, as shown. Thus, all of civilization is left wing to you.

Are you trying to say that the right wind absolutist ideologues have finally gone off the cliff?

Maybe you should have drawn it as a circle instead …….if they try to go any further right they will be going left……

Watching those on the right, throwing the RINO label around as well as the ” liberal” label is just too funny.

Of course , the right wing Possee with be gathered with their acolytes tomorrow at DelTech. Ranting about taking up arms to defend their rights and sacred country .

I wonder how many guns will be squirreled away in cars left in the parking lot. While the faithful are inside worshipping their GODS..

worth a chuckle to drive by and laugh…….,, of course we could only hope they , well never mind their far out paranoid fantasies are already off the rails…… Lets not add to it

  2. People Who Know says:

    Del Dem

Us Peckerwoods know ya’all are more liberal that Knotts, by the golly.
But ya’all sure trained him well in the newfangled liberal arts. I read what Ayotte done writ and keep talkin them thar newfangled commie thoughts to Knotts an he might jine yourn shindig.

  3. waterpirate says:

    ROFLMAO!!!

THat is funny stuff that the TP is off the line. I would suggest a minor adjustment to the line however. In the void between center/ moderate and conservative right/ Republican, there should be a box that says ” this space for rent “.

  4. People Who Know says:

ya’ll over thar on the commie side, shore bent on rilin us’ns on down in the holler. Us’n Peckerwoods jus now larnin our abc’s.
Knott’s drivin round in his’n gas truck, callin radio stations laak he know lots.

  5. Frank Knotts says:

Delaware Dem, I want to thank you for this post. I attempted to respond to Mr. Ayotte’s ham handed hatchet job over at D P, thinking that just maybe he would have the balls to allow me to defend myself since he called me out by name. But just as the reason I left DP was due to the constant editing and deleting of comments, he continues to throw grenades from behind a wall of deletion.
My response to Mr. Ayotte was much the same as your own, this is a paraphrasing of my comment that he feared allowing others to see.
” So because I am against abortion on demand, I am left of center? Because I am against homosexual marriage, I am left of center? Because I am against any infringement of our second amendment rights, I am left of center? Because I am for limited government, at “ALL” levels, and because I am for responsible spending and taxing, I am left of center? Because I am unwilling to empower “ANY” elected official with unlimited and unchallengeable powers and authority, and because I am not in favor of imposing my faith upon others at public meetings by holding prayer, I am left of center? So if this is true? Where does that leave Mr. Ayotte? Right of Adolf Hitler?”
Okay that last part may have been an insult to Hitler.
My last two example are truly what has angered the TPPs or the TEA Party Patriots, the people who self describe themselves as patriots and heroes. They describe themselves as freedom lovers, yet do not have the courage to allows others the freedom to disagree with them. While on the issues, I disagree with pretty much everything that most of you here at D L have to say, I am at least allowed to voice that opposition. At D P no one is allowed to disagree with the dic tator Don Ayotte. The very reason I left that sinking ship. I am now at Delaware Right, and though many have taken the “Right” to mean simply conservatism alone, it also means we are attempting to find the right way to move the conversation forward, where everyone has a chance to speak and voice their opinions. I am merely the first member of a blog team we hope to build and add to, I am not the voice of Delaware Right, as always my opinions are my own, I do not speak for Delaware Right and they do not speak for me. I disagree with them and they disagree with me. We are not seeking the 100% purity test that Mr. Ayotte and his like require before they will allow you to participate.
And I too like the fact that you place the TEA Party off the line, but maybe you should have angled it pointing down as if it were crashing over a cliff, for that is exactly what is happening. The original intent of the TEA movement had merit, but it has been coopted to the point it has become nothing but a bunch of sub groups of angry single issues mobs.

  6. Delaware Dem says:

Yeah, for all the reasons you cite Frank, you are a right wing nutjob. 😉 Glad I could help.

  7. anon says:

The far right kook fringe of the Delaware Republican Party is battling the farther right kookier fringe of the Delaware Republican Party. Everyone knew this was coming, but no one imagined it would be this fun to watch. Forget the popcorn, I’m grabbing a six pack and some tasty nachos, this is the Super Bowl of stupidity. Go team!

  8. Aoine says:

What is even funnier is franks post at DP supposedly ending up in the spam filter, and Don Ayotte is so magnanimous , that he ” rescues” it and places it in the comments

With a note to the nameless faceless MODERATOR to ” leave it there”

I have seen posts deleted all the time, post that have no profanity, don’t out people are on topic and quite bright actually, only to go back and find them…….deleted, with no comment or explanation from either the moderator or the author.

Not much freedom of expression there. DP should change it’s name to DON’s POLITICS coz all he seems able to do is cut copy and paste articles from other news outlets, and slam people. With David leaving, Don will have full reign , and the petty despot will sink that ship faster. one almost feels sorry for David, Note I said ALMOST.

HE got into bed with these people and this is the baby they had together. Never saw a better case for abortion in my life.

Franks right, it is a dictatorship. So much for freedom loving patriots. One can only imagine what would have happened if he had won a place within the party or, god forbid a place on the council.altho watching a Sam Wilson rip that fool a new one would be pretty funny.

Wonder how many new posse members the sheriff will sign up today? And did he get the acolytes to write more checks to reach his fund- raising goal of 10k to bring his case to the DE Supreme Court?
Wll he have standing when he is voted out of office next year……hmmmmm so many questions

  9. anonymous says:

Frank, I don’t follow DP primarily because they remove posts they disagree with, (freedom of speech, right?) It seems the Delaware republican party is coming apart at the seams, as it should. Bad thing for R votes, but a good thing for Delawareans.

Frankly, I voted for the 1%er tea party stooge back in a primary (and knowingly, the worst possible type of candidate) – who could and did rid Delaware of a republican U.S. Congressman and sent Coons in his place. He may be there for a while. For that I still thank the tea party. So you see, even the tea party at times, can have some value even though you say your fellow tea party republican, is right of Hilter.

There is the thing about dogs and fleas, so one may read what you have to say, with flea powder in hand.

  10. Jason330 says:

Does there come a time when Sigler decides that he can’t knit this mess together and is compelled to throw one faction (Ayote or Knotts) over the side? And if so, who gets the heave ho?

  11. geezer says:

I’ve been banned there again, apparently for pointing out to Don Ayotte that, contrary to his assertion, Iran and North Korea are against the UN arms treaty because they are arms exporters; Don claimed they want to buy guns to keep their citizens down.

This “moderator” they supposedly have sent me this email:

“Mr. xxxxx you have been repeatedly asked to tone down your incendiary comments directed at fellow commenters. For whatever reason you still refuse to be considerate of others when posting. Your style lends little to our belief of friendly discourse with civility. Since being asked to moderate I have done so with an even hand removing comments that do not meet our standards without calling the offenders out. We appreciate your views and opinions, but must once again request that you tone down the barbs and insults. If you can not or refuse to meet the minimal rules of DelawarePolitics we will respectfully have to ask you to consider posting elsewhere. We thank you for your anticipated cooperation”

I sent back a message telling the moderator to go fuck himself.

Here’s the kicker: The message supposedly came from someone named “Richard Cranium.” Yes, you got it: Dick Head.

  12. Aoine says:

Geezer, I’m sure you noted that the style and tone of that is pure, unadulterated…..

    Don Ayotte

Trying to sound official, but sounding only……..pompous

Side note- while typing this comment I mis-spelled OFFICAL, it’s was typed as OFFAL
Rather fitting, I should have left it that way…….

  13. Aoine says:

Of course now is also the time to get in all the slams on the crazies like Bill Christy

Seeing as he is busy attending the Constitutional Sheriffs thing, along with the folks literally bussed in from Maryland.

How funny is that- they have to BUS in supporters

What is odd too, is if the Sheriff is supposed to save the citizens from the over- reach of government, how come he has not prevented one single foreclosure? Not one.
And we all know how crooked the banks and the mortgage lending services were in the whole housing collapse debacle

But he is going to be the champion of the people now that government is going to storm homes and remove guns?

If he didn’t protect the people before , what makes folks assume he will do it now? And when will they wake up and see he is only a straw man or a con man, that is picking their pockets and lining his own?
Now that he has ” speaking appearances” etc……

Lets see how pro-active he is with his posse of old white men who can’t shoot straight when DE passes new gun control measure- my prediction is:

He stands by and does nothing…….like he always has. But talks a good story.

  14. geezer says:

“Geezer, I’m sure you noted that the style and tone of that is pure, unadulterated…..Don Ayotte”

Yes, it’s been pretty obvious since they started that Ayotte can’t stand even the tiniest bit of criticism.

  15. Dave says:

I think I raise as much hell over there as Geezer. Maybe they can’t comprehend my comments. I’m not using very big words or anything. Do I need to write with more emotion?

  16. Aoine says:

They are not smart enough to figure you out Dave. 🙂

And they don’t think they know who you are…..that said, they are trying to find out everyone’s identity, yours included, being the bullies and cowards they are.

They think that will somehow intimidate or silence their opposition. They fail to realize that will just make opposition to them stronger. Look what they have done to their own party. The faction that is left are the two year olds, still having temper tantrums. Frank at least has graduated and moved on, and they can’t stand it.

They are nothing more than small little people, struggling for significance and importance in a world that has left them and their paranoia behind.

  17. Dave says:

Christy used my posting email address (which obviously means he has administrative access to the blog) but didn’t get very far since I’m actually no one.

Kinda makes you wonder why they are afraid of the federal government, when they are the ones using information for nefarious purposes.

  18. geezer says:

“Kinda makes you wonder why they are afraid of the federal government, when they are the ones using information for nefarious purposes.”

The question answers itself. They are afraid because they think everyone else, the government especially, is as ignorant, paranoid and vengeful as they are.

  19. geezer says:

Aoine: So what’s the deal with Ayotte? Does he have a son who is disabled? Does he take government money to deal with that?

  20. Aoine says:

He claims a lot of things publicly……

He claims a son who is disabled but is needs full time care as the son is not self sufficient.

Now, if you take his work history, that he himself professes, including his working in Arizona as a reporter and owning a small business and his rather advanced age, he had the child when he was a little long in the tooth to be having children for the first time- but hey…..

His age indicates a SOCIAL SECURITY recipient. His work history does not indicate an income that would sustain paying out of pocket for this necessary care.

Put that together and what one comes up with is the inability to pay for all those special needs out of his own pocket. Quality care is very expensive , especially the full- time assistance that he needs, he being the son.

All of that equals STATE ASSISTANCE, MEDICARE AND/OR MEDICAID AND /or SSI. or other government aid.

Which would make him Don, a……….hypocrite. Not that that is news or anything.

And before he tweaks out when seeing this – it must be stated that he has admitted to all of this either in postings OR public. He does not talk about the son, only as a shield and NEVER NEVER NEVER confirms or Denys he receives aid for him.

Which leads one to believe that yes, he is also on the government teat. Don’t know how that squares with his politics. Which might be why he is an angry bitter old man.

  21. Aoine says:

@dave, yeah. They also used mine….and what is even funnier, ask everyone they can get their hands on who I am.

    Along with several other posters.

Which doesn’t me feel special at all…….. 🙁

  24. Frank Knotts says:

See Delaware Dem ,when you call me a right wing nut job I take it as a compliment. 🙂
The problem the conservative movement is having is that the rational people have decided to stay home and avoid the confrontation with the irrational people. They will still get out and vote, but they don’t want to show up at meetings where the D As of the world show up and shout mean names at them. So the movement has lost the lovely little ladies who were always the volunteer base. And the small business people don’t want to be seen in the community having some shouting match with the single issue bullies.
These shout down tactics have been used throughout history. The only way to defeat them is to continue to show up and show no fear of the bullies, even when they open carry their weapons at local diners.
If the rational people surrender the field to the irrational people then they win, which is what they want, to win without actually having to come up with actual ideas. The real problem they will have is if they do actually win, because then all will see that the emperor has no clothes, and the bullies have no ideas, only empty rhetoric.
The last thing I want is for only the ideas of the left to be enacted. Nor do I want only the ideas of the far right to be enacted. If we are to truly have a representative government, then the opposing sides must first be able to have the conversation. And to do that we must both stop the shouting.
When someone shouts, most people turn and walk away. But if you whisper, most people lean in to hear what you are saying.
I have been saying for some time now, it is not that there are not enough good ideas to solve our problems, it is that the message delivery is all wrong on both sides.
If both sides of the political spectrum demand 100%, then neither will achieve much. It is through real and honest debate and compromise that we can move the state and the nation forward.
We must all first ask ourselves, what is more important? That my political party wins, or that the citizens of the state and nation are better off.
The $100,000 question of course is, how? We start by talking with each other and not at each other.

I did not send that e-mail to you, nor did I delete your comments or kick you off the site. The moderator did that and I don’t know who the moderator is!!! I will ask David to reinstate you to the site because I enjoy discourse with you from time to time.

  28. IFTC says:

Not one of the 340 people in attendance were bussed in today.

  29. Aoine says:

REALLY…- so there was no need for any of this?

A long with the multiple posts on FB form a lot of RWNJs

Most from out of state, as in Maryland.

Did Delegate Dwyer show up? And rabble rouse the crowd into fighting

    You people are pathetic

  31. IFTC says:

There were no buses that brought people to the event. There wasn’t one single bus in the carter building parking lot. With the price of gas there’s nothing wrong with connecting people from the same areas to commute together. Less than 35% of the 340 people in attendance were from Maryland according to the ticket reservations. What I find pathetic is someone who feels the need to continually dig into peoples private lives like your comments about someone with a severely autistic adult child, to degrade and humiliate the person. Your actions are despicable, and anyone who condones or continues the same type of commenting is just as despicable. One has to wonder what drives someone like you, because what you are doing isn’t even close to anything considered normal or socially acceptable.

  32. geezer says:

Really, Don, don’t bother. It’s not worth the trouble.

  33. Aoine says:

Wow,if you think having a severely autistic child ‘ degrades and humiliates’ that says a lot about you now doesn’t it

And that says it all..no one here ever degraded or humiliated anyone for that here

But, when Don Ayotte puts his business out there, then screams and crys and rails against the government, that supports him and his family, as it should. Well, that’s the game .No one thinks less of him for having a special needs child. This Is a challenge for any family,

    Don Ayotte is ridiculed for:

    being a hypocrite
    For undermining other people
For acting like a petty despot
    For calling others names
For being a narrow minded bigot- remember the comments about Hispanics and alltheT- bone steaks they were buying with food stamps?
Allowing others (not authorized) access to DP admin only information on that blog.- thank goodness it’s been years since I posted there.
    Dishonesty
    Lying
    Petulance
    Bad manners

Don is feeling like Ron Sams and others did when the crazies took over the party- well KARMA is a bitch isn’t it?

And BTW,does the Institute For The Constitution know you’re representing them on this blog?might want to rethink that actually.

What drive you?shouting down the opposition, threatening people,, watching with pleasure as others who don’t agree with you are hammered into the ground, what drives people like you who think theycanact with absolute impunity? Hurt others and walk away with no consequences?

Sow the wind,You are now reaping your whirlwind.

  34. I F ind T hat C omedic says:

One could easily ask the same questions of you. You have no idea nor is it any of your goddamn business what social services Mr. Ayotte or any of his family may or may not be receiving. But that doesn’t suit your agenda, so you just assume and post it long enough until you and all the other haters actually believe it’s the truth. There’s a list of people that you have targeted in the same way, for what? You’re calling Mr. Ayotte out for comments he’s made, you’re a hypocrite! You praise Sam Wilson yet he’s been quoted as saying “we don’t need another coon in Washington”, and upon seeing Meyer P. at Dan Gaffney’s show loudly proclaimed “I SEE THE FAGGOTS HERE”, and “these spics need to learn English because that’s our language”.
You’re a bigot you’ve called people that you don’t even know and have never interacted with homophobes, racists, and insinuate people are pedophiles and others are crazy. You’re far from any wrongdoing so you calling others out for their actions is beyond ludicrous. You don’t post in dp because you were banned but you more than make up for that by posting at dr. You think your ties with certain county council members and state representatives grant you impunity? Perhaps you should heed your own unsolicited and unwanted advice that you so freely offer others. I don’t shout down, threaten or intimidate anyone. I don’t derive pleasure in watching people get hammered, hurt, humiliated,or have their good names destroyed. I’m a humble person a servant of my GOD who actually feels sorrow and pity for you. It is just as cowardly to judge an absent person as it is wicked to strike a defenseless one. Only the ignorant and narrow-minded gossip, for they speak of persons instead of things.

  35. DonAyotte says:

    Geezer

I spoke to David and we do want your comments on our site. Since our spam folder was emptied, the only way I can get you back on the site with the same pseudonym and IP number will be to have you comment again and I will check the spam folder and reinstate you.

Sorry Buddy, just because we disagree on almost everything doesn’t mean we don’t value your opinion!!

    Sincerely DonAyotte

  36. Dave says:

“your comments about someone with a severely autistic adult child”

    @ IFTC (or whoever)

I have watched carefully for some time and neither geezer nor anyone else to my knowledge has written anything about a “severely autistic child” until your comment.

Regardless, the point of the discussion is not the child or his needs, but the services that are provided for the common good and that promote the general welfare of all citizens. Do you think schools like Brennan in Newark would even exist under your concept of government? And yet, people who benefit from those very programs rail against government at the same time that they avail themselves of those programs and services. That’s the very definition of hypocricy!

Government is inefficient and often ineffective and no one points out that ineffectiveness and efficiency more than the folks here at DL. The difference is, they don’t want to do away with those programs and services. They want them to work better. Your attitude is akin to “I got mine, the rest of you can go pound sand.”

That’s the crux of this. It’s not whether you have a special needs child. It’s that others have special needs children as well and we as a society have an obligation to those children. Sure we have to balance cost and benefit and yes government is not perfect, but it needs to keep striving for excellence, not be done away with. And yes citizens do need to be responsible for themselves and their children, but ask yourself this, what if you were left with the full responsibility for a special needs child, all on your own, with no support, no aid, no SSI, no special shool programs. What then?

  37. Dave says:

“You praise Sam Wilson yet he’s been quoted as saying (various offensive things)”

True. I will point out that Sam is a conservative and a Republican and you have previously supported him until he disagreed with the sovereign sheriff cabal.

You might ask yourself another question, did you or anyone else take Sam to task for his comments prior to the sheriff issue? Yeah, I kinda thought so. It’s funny how we can overlook things until we have reason to not overlook them. How does that square with your principles or is covenience a principle now days?

Finally,I’m not sure who at DL has ever really praised Sam Wilson. I never seen any praise, but then I have only been around for a couple of years here.

  38. pandora says:

Given the comment threads over at DP, I would say that they don’t “want” Geezer back, they “need” Geezer back. If Geezer and Dave walked away what would be left? Jonathon Moseley and Mynym? Oh my! 🙂

  39. Aoine says:

    IFTC or whatever- OK

    1. Name whom I have targeted
    2. Show me where I have degraded or humiliated someone because of their special needs family
3.if you serve GOD like you say you do, answer Dave’s question – did you or any of your friends call Sam Wilson out on his comments? You do profess to be a Christian
    4. Understanding those Christian principals, look in the mirror , read what you wrote, and ask yourself- Was I acting like a Christian? Have I acted like a Christian. am I acting in such a way as to please my God

I have NEVER shouted down an opponent, I simply don’t shout, Period. I listen.
I am free to have my opinions, and I do, like you do. only I base them on what I personally have witnessed.

You are a bully, and you think you can act with impunity. YOU cannot, anymore than I can. You called me a “guard dog” yet I don’t feel it necessary to leave my home armed, nor parade around in public armed. And I don’t need to guard anyone, the folks in here are quite intelligent and bright and can certainly defend or guard themselves. I have dealt with angry bullies like you my whole life, I am not impressed.

I do not intimidate anybody. I know you have tried to discover my identity, and the identity of many others to use for nefarious purposes. You troll yourself, looking for personal data on other people. You just can’t help yourself.

I know, you have stooped to all levels to verify who you think I am. And you have also changed your mind several times because youre not sure.

You think that by outting me you will somehow “win” . Well, you won’t.

As for my ties with certain county council members and other politicians- ROTFLMAO – you obviously think a great deal more of my reach and influence than I do. frankly, I would be surprised if they knew my name.

And if you feel such pity and sorrow for me, then on this pretty Sunday you should be on your knees, praying for all the “haters” as you called everyone in here. To use your own words -,” People you don’t even know and have never interacted with ”

What you cannot abide, is to be called on your own hypocrisy. You cannot stand to have your own words used against you. You cannot abide that anyone would DARE to call you out and remind you of your own faults and failings. When you and your ilk, post all your personal information on the internet and then act in ways that hurt others, with the attitude of, ” I got mine” like Dave said , expect the blowback.

And instead of looking at your own anger and self- righteousness- you point out the fault in the other person instead, to take the focus off yourself. Try fixing the anger inside yourself first, before you start fixing others.

    GOOD LUCK with that.

    Pandora,

I haven’t checked in on DP in at least six months. Oh my! is right. That is one disgustingly unpleasant circle jerk over there.

  41. Frank Knotts says:

For those who are not yet aware, my one comment on Mr. Ayotte’s D P hatchet post has once again been taken down. It would seem as though as soon as David Anderson stepped on the transport to Afghanistan, Don has once again exercised his dic tator powers. His fear of open and honest debate is palpable. It consumes him. When I was still a member of D P, I challenged him to a debate of his choosing, of course he declined under the guise of being above any interaction with me. I again challenge him to a debate of his choosing, anytime anyplace.
Here is a link to my latest piece, I do think it is relevant to this conversation.

  43. DonAyotte says:

    Frank
You sniveling whining poor lost little boy, I’ve told you I’m not the moderator and I redact or delete nothing any longer and I’m happy about that. If it was deleted it was by the moderator, I haven’t even looked at it, and don’t care about your comment.

  44. Aoine says:

    Pandora for the win!

@ Don, it rather hard for other people or yourself to come here and defend you when you post stuff like the above.

It negates or undermines your role as ” victim”

You all really need to coordinate better. And you would be best served if you responded to Frank directly, on his blog. In here, you just make for titillating reading and no one really cares. Course now we all know that you allow other access to the IP and email addresses of those who post in DP.

Nice going, poor David will come home and his blog will be dead.

  45. dpmoderator says:

Mr. Knotts I removed your post rather than wasting my time redacting the portions of your comment that violated our rules. Mr. Ayotte didn’t exercise his dictator powers. You never bothered to try to contact either myself or Mr. Anderson, to find out what happened. I might add contrary to your erroneous public claim Mr. Anderson has not deployed yet. He posted a topic this morning inviting people to attend his church service earlier today where he addressed his congregation, as well as fellowship with him and his family after the service. Your style of disseminating misinformation does nothing to close the ever widening chasm of discontent which is like a flesh eating bacteria destroying the SCoGOP.

  46. Aoine says:

Well well, the DP moderator is posting to Frank here

Why don’t you post to FRANKS on HIS blog – oh that is because you won’t?

What exactly did frank say that violated your rule!

But ok- whatever- actually your post is a violation of the terms here – but it’s Stands

As a monument to your hypocrisy and DL easy- going ways and belief on open and public discourse, which is waaaay more than can be said for SP

Once your posting information is provided to the state for AUP violations I’m sure you will meet the same fate as the DelDOT employee did for posting in newszap

See, this is why these wingnuts need to be isolated to their own pens. They don’t know how to argue with people unless there is bullying and threatening of people’s jobs involved. I guess they aren’t called the Daddy Party for nothing. And don’t get me started with how they can’t even manage their own business without it spilling all over everyone else’s property. Sheesh. This is how DP lost their place on our blogroll.

  49. Dave says:

“Once your posting information is provided to the state for AUP violations”

First, what AUP violations? This site can violate their own acceptable use policies all they want. They shouldn’t but they can. There is no government oversight of AUP on a blog (or just about anywhere else for that matter)!

Second, I note that the first response of the anti-government right is to threaten to run to the government and tattletale. What up with that?

Third, how does someone who claims to be a moderator on DP, have the chutzpah to come here and complain, when someone at DP is providing email addresses to Bill Christy, who is (in theory) just a poster like me? Which happens on dpmoderators watch no less.

  50. geezer says:

“Your style of disseminating misinformation does nothing to close the ever widening chasm of discontent which is like a flesh eating bacteria destroying the SCoGOP.”

This is what passes for a “moderator” among the conservatives. Quite a distance above the fray, eh?

  51. geezer says:

“I note that the first response of the anti-government right is to threaten to run to the government and tattletale. What up with that?”

The reason they fear a tyrannical government is that they know themselves, and they are petty tyrants raging against a system that won’t let them dictate anything to anyone. If they, in their impotence, would rule with an iron fist, how much greater the urge in those who wield true power.

  52. Dave says:

So they are that which they fear? “Yep son, we have met the enemy and he is us” (to quote Pogo) To protect their liberty, they must work against themselves so as not to gain power for fear of what they will do with it.

Actually, that makes sense in a bizarro world way.

  53. Aoine says:

ROTFLMAO- i have had more fun today than I have had in a while….

As far as AUP violations? The state has no authority over me for AUP violations……LOLOLL

You will get as far as you did when you called Chip Guy’s office- exactly NOWHERE,

What is the state going to do- take away my birthday or something. HAHAH

  54. Aoine says:

So, now we see a Delaware Politics ” self- styled” moderator come on to this site and threaten to use
Privileged administrative information to shut posters down, or shut them up.

So, banning someone from Delaware politics is not enough, removing comments is not enough, those lowly cowards have to threaten ( or show they would like to threaten) someone’s job.

Everyone reading this can see :

    1. Posting on Delaware Politics should be avoided at all costs, they don’t like what you say, they attempt to threaten your job.
    2. They don’t like what you say, they remove your comments
    3. They don’t like what yu say, they ban y from the site

So, here is the question, why even waste the time to post there?

Apart from the obvious fact that a blog survives by virtue of the fact that people can go there and post fact and/ or opinions, and having an open discussion brings in posters, and that bring in dialogue and increases the size of the blog which can then attract advertisers.
So what sense does it make for a blog to bully, intimidate, remove commentary, and ban posters. It is cutting ones nose off to sprite their faces. I hope anyone that see this thread, and quite a few do, can really see how at and how low the petty depots and tyrants over at DP will go to silence those they don’t approve of.

Geezer, I hope y NEVER go back over there, yu give them a certain something and they don’t deserve yr commentary, I was warned about them pulling this crap quite some time ago, and am glad I heeded the advice.
No posting over there will cause only AYOTTE, MOSELEY AND MYMYNM to be left- a circular firing squad Iif I ever saw it.

If one needs debate, Frank Knotts is open for business, and is at least seemingly fair in his discussions.

Delaware politics will eventually wither and die on the vine , just like its pety despot in charge. It’s on life support now. pull the plug already.

  55. Aoine says:

@ Dave- check the slush account. 😉

  56. waterpirate says:

It is very curious to me that the blog war has come here. Posting at DP was getting less and less productive,as the supreme ruler exerted his reign. I took great offense at moderation by someone who refused to disclose their identity. When I pushed the issue it was met with venom and they ask me to leave. Wish granted I left.

Now the really entertaining part is that when the war spilled over to here, the supreme ruler said he would not demean himself with any more comments here, then got a case of diahrea of the keyboard here???

  57. dpmoderator says:

No names were mentioned. It’s quite simple state employees paid by taxpayers are violating the state of Delaware’s AUP guidelines. The guidelines are very clear about personal use of computers/state owned ISP’s during working hours. The information will be given to the state and they can take whatever action they deem necessary, since it’s been going on for over 2 years. This is a violation of the taxpayers trust just like the DelDot employee, the Lewes police officer, and the deputy sheriff. If you were really the concerned citizens you are then none of you would be trying to put any spin on this.

  58. Frank Knotts says:

Please let me correct my mistake about saying David was on the transport already. As for my comment being pulled, a SECOND time. Matters little who pulled it, the fact is that Don Ayotte picked this battle with his attack on me by name and then hid behind the skirt of the moderator, who by the way had already redacted the Hitler reference, so there was no need to pull it a second time, since I had only posted the one response to the hatchet job. I want to thank my liberal friends here at DL for allowing me and other conservatives to come here and debate. We at Delaware Right welcome you to come there and debate as well. It is through the exchange of opposing views that we all can move the conversation forward.

  59. Aoine says:

I don’t know any state employees in here………

But remember, you will be civilly liable and if you make a false complaint, it will come back on you.
The DELDOT employee you reference was running for political office and using state computer equipment to that end.

Is there a state employee here running for office? These things have a way of haunting one, kinda like making threats about violations of the Hatch act…… That went nowhere too.

See , one of the things necessary for a libel/civil suit is damages, – I hope y are ready for the subpoenas and depositions that come with that. All your dirty underwear will be hanging out there.
But please by all means, do so….. I personally would love to see a coward and bully financially and politically destroyed by their own stupidity.

  60. cassandra m says:

If you were really the concerned citizens you are then none of you would be trying to put any spin on this.

And if you were paying attention to the kind of behavior that your hosts here frown upon, you would know that threats is right at the top of the list. Threatening anyone’s employment here is right up there with outing and with threats of violence. If you don’t know how to be here without bullying someone, then go back to your own blog where that behavior seems to be the coin of the realm. You won’t get another warning.

It’s funny and sad and creepy.

None of this surprises me, these are the same people who went after people’s jobs during the 2010 Castle/Wacko primary. What I found very interesting was, I saw the sheriff and Barbie getting out of their 2 seater convertible. If he really cared about this fight as much as he says wouldn’t he sell the Beamer to pay the legal fees, instead of begging any chance he got for finds to “fight tyranny”? And hell, he should at least have an American made vehicle being the true patriot he is.

  68. anon says:

kavips not to be rude but who cares? I’m tired of all of the drama surrounding the Sussex County Sheriff, as is virtually every other person in Sussex (who isn’t some transplant who wants to turn Delaware into the heavily taxed shithole they moved here from). I can’t wait to get rid of him in 2014, so we can bring back a decent Sheriff who doesn’t think he’s literally God’s gift to law enforcement.

    BTW, I’m not that “Anon”.

The Sheriff is planning on thwarting Sussex County rules again to hold “posse training” after hours at his office:

Constitutional training sessions for deputies, posses and citizens in support of the sheriff have been scheduled from 7 to 9 p.m. on Mondays, April 22 to July 15, in the Sussex County Sheriff’s Office.

Christopher is actively recruiting posse members, which he defines in a brochure as “the entire population above the age of 15, which a sheriff may summon to his assistance in certain cases; as to aid him in keeping the peace, in pursuing and arresting felons.”

“It seems that our government has turned on us. Leaders of government today appear to have forgotten that we are the people who put them in office to protect us from the bad guys,” Christopher said. “Anyone who leads the charge to take away our liberties or sits idly by to allow it to happen is the bad guy.”

Christopher said that doesn’t mean people should take up arms and go after the bad guys. “But, you have a role in protecting and ensuring the safety of this country, your family and yourself. The sheriff was created to ensure such a task,” he said.

Although the training sessions have been planned, Sussex County administration has not been notified. County spokesman said after-hours use of county facilities and meeting rooms must first be approved by administration, said county spokesman Chip Guy. “We have not received a request from the Sheriff’s Office or any other organization. We’ll have to look into this some more,” Guy said.

    http://capegazette.villagesoup.com/p/sheriff-summit-a-call-to-action/985657

This nutjob can’t even abide by the easiest rules for an elected official in Sussex, what will happen if he get’s arrest powers?

I can’t believe the nutjob barely educated morons who support him can’t figure out that the Sheriff’s antics are going to cost taxpayers a bundle.

That Cape Gazette article is great, I like the part about how the only elected officials in the room besides Sheriff Wacko were from Maryland.

  77. puck says:

A cowboy and his faithful dog Rex were captured by hostile Indians, and plan to burn the cowboy at the stake the following sunrise. That night, while tied up, the cowboy whispers something into his dog’s ear. At once the dog runs off over the hill. A few hours later the dog returns, accompanied by some two dozen prostitutes from a nearby town. Needless to say, the braves are delighted and fall asleep, tired and happy. After they fall asleep the cowboy again bends down to whisper into the dog’s ear: “This may be my last chance, so get it right this time — go into town and get the POSSE, Rex… the POSSE!”

  78. Dave says:

“Constitutional training sessions for deputies, posses and citizens ”

Regular posses could assist the sheriff in emergency first responder duties, traffic and crowd control, apprehension. Mostly it’s obsolete.

This particular posse however, is a not like that. Nor is it the kind that Rex went and fetched. If such a posse is to receive constitutional training, presumably this training will enable to the posse to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic.

That sounds like a quasi-official militia-type vigilante organization that would root out the disease or rampant liberalism and all it’s adherents and practitioners, include federal tyrants.

Since I am a centrist and not aligned, I’m probably safe, but all of you should be very worried. I don’t think they will be wearing hoods or carrying torches, but…

Since this person is CLEARLY confused I will set the record straight:
There were approximately 336+/- people in attendance, roughly 200 were Delaware residents, the majority of the Marylanders in attendance own summer properties down in the RB, Lewes, Fenwick Island area.

The 2 seater convertible at Saturday’s event is MINE…No one rode in my car with me, and it was the ONLY 2 seater (it’s called a roadster) Bimmer convertible at the event.

Who among us needs to get a life, Christy? I believe that person is you. Look out for that puddle!
