Today’s liberal words of wisdom compliments of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, she is worried that budget cuts will lower “quality of life” on Capitol Hill

Well firstly Rusty, she is correct. If you want quality performance you have to pay for it. If you want mediocrity, then ignore what attracts the best and the brightest.

That said, perhaps we are getting mediocrity, but paying for quality. Gotta thank the voters for that though.

And on the other hand, Gov Bob McDonnell (R) of Viriginia creates a commission, whose job is, in part, to prevent closure of federal facilities in Virginia (http://www.governor.virginia.gov/utility/docs/20130301154934702.pdf)

Gotcha works both ways and is mostly used to tar one group or the other, but gotcha is never ever used, nor contributes to, solving problems. While I’m at it, and before someone opines about offering solutions, slogans are not solutions. So hollaring “Cut Spending!” is not a solution. Solutions requires serious people with serious proposals that reflect the needs of our society and our nation. Granted I don’t see much of that in Washington these days, but then most of them are really in the business of providing red meat to folks who practice outrage for a hobby or as a living.

Lota things keep me tossin and turnin at night. Worrying about the quality of the meals in the cafeteria on capitol hill aint one of those things.

  4. Rusty Dils says:

Here is a thought, what if we don’t worry about the quality of food in the cafeteria on capitol hill, and see if the staff are resourceful enough to make and bring their own lunches, imagine that.
We can even call it a government experiment, with the cost to tax payers of zero. Zero, because no records will be kept, and if the staff aren’t smart enough to feed themselves, then we pretty much don’t care.

I’m sure that what keeps you up at night, RD, is making up more BS to post on this blog. Like that crazy story re: health insurance layoffs in your state. Layoffs not captured by your local media anywhere, it seems.

  6. Pencadermom says:

I think they should serve the same food that all the public schools serve.
Is that video for real? Just wondering how she said all of that with a straight face. I’m with Rusty on this one.
