The Uselessness of John Sigler — Part 138

Filed in National by on February 5, 2013

John Sigler’s email continues to make a fool of him — this time the email (which I haven’t seen) criticizes the Governor for his overseas trips. Really? Sigler clearly missed the fact that one of the real growth areas in American jobs is importing them from overseas. Still, it is a good bet that Sigler’s email provides no clues as to the places in Delaware where the Governor should be visiting to help bring in new jobs. The man is clearly not supposed to be making sense — just fine-tuning his manufactured outrage. The Governor provided a choice response though:

“The Governor’s trips to Korea and India are about jobs in Delaware for Delawareans. Mr. Sigler should explain to the hundreds of employees of Harim in Sussex County – workers who almost lost their jobs — why he thinks the Governor should not have gone to Korea to show Harim’s leaders what a great workforce and poultry industry we have in Delaware. Or Mr. Sigler can explain to 100 employees of Bilcare in Delaware City why the Governor shouldn’t meet in India with the leaders of that innovative pharmaceutical packaging and materials company. Or Mr. Sigler should explain to Delaware’s current and future technology workers why the Governor should not pitch Delaware to 1500 representatives of the Indian IT industry, which has a growing number of employees in the U.S. Economic development in the modern world doesn’t occur sitting at a desk. You have to work for it and that’s what the Governor is doing.”

I’d bet that the Governor wanted to add to this: “If Delaware Liberal isn’t having any of your shenanigans, don’t come shopping that shit at my door. Good DAY, sir!”

Sheesh. I bet Sigler is paid a pretty penny for this idiocy.

Not to mention, a Chinese company is seriously considering pulling Fisker’s (and Markell’s) nuts out of the fire (which may or may not result in saving the Newport plant). China was one of Markell’s stops.

  2. SussexWatcher says:

If by China you mean Japan and Korea, yes, you’re right, puck. They all look alike and talk the same funny and eat rice, don’t they?

Google will save your dumb ass every time.

  3. SussexWatcher says:

Simpler: **Markell didn’t go to China recently.**

  4. Cletus says:

Wasn’t it Sigler who went a traveling during the Campaign of 2012?

  5. SussexWatcher says:

For clarity for poor puck: Markell went to China in November 2010, back when Fisker was riding high. Do you really think that he was searching for a secret savior there two years ago?

  6. puck says:

Wow, you have a pine cone up your ass, don’t you? Markell went to China to build business relationships. I didn’t say it had anything directly to do with Fisker. China has 5000 years of history – two years ago is like the blink of an eye.

  7. Norinda says:

Let’s see the creation of competitive jobs that pay living wages or the outcomes of the Governor’s World Travels here in Delaware. Fisker left Delaware in 2010 and moved their operations to Finland. Gone With the Wind. Make Me a Believer-Please!

  8. SussexWatcher says:

Puck, I’m sorry that your reading comprehension is so poor that you don’t even understand what you wrote. You were clearly trying to link the two. Now, once your BS is made public, you protest otherwise. Just stop digging. And remember to Google next time.

  9. geezer says:

That quote is miserably written, by the way. Every time the text says “the Governor” it should say “Governor Markell.” That’s Flacking 101.

No. They did not. Fisker’s plans always had the Karma being manufactured in Finland. The Karma was designed in California. The Atlantic, aka the Nina, was the car Fisker was going to manufacture in Delaware. It gets tiring correcting morons who get their “facts” from people like John Sigler.

John Sigler makes me sick. I don’t care if you’re a Republican or Democrat, if you’re a cheerleader for Delaware losing or not getting jobs so maybe you can win one elected office, you’re an asshole.

Delaware needs jobs and I thank Governor Markell for all of the work he’s done to try to bring jobs to the state. Markell managed to bring back a shut down oil refinery in Delaware City, saving hundreds of jobs, what other Governor managed something like that in this economy?

Our last, idiot Governor, spent 8 years pushing tossed out patents for job creation, I think that 8 years of effort created one company with 3 jobs. Meanwhile Hercules’ corporate headquarters moved to Mississippi right under her nose. Maybe if she spent less time giving away Delaware’s assets to her friends and more time paying attention to the companies that employed Delawareans like the banks and Hercules, we’d be in better shape right now.

BTW, Sigler doesn’t get a salary for being the leader of the DEGOP, only one Chair, Basil Battagalia, was paid, and that’s because 1)he could win elections and 2) he raised a mountain of money. Sigler isn’t worth a dime scraped from the floor of a bus station bathroom.

I know, right? It takes a whole team. I wanted to post that bit about Finland and the Karma and California, but I just gave up. I know I’ve posted it before.
