The Chicken Festival at Del Tech, Georgetown. My fat cells are cheering.

Partially correct. It is the Delmarva Chicken Festival at Delmarva Christian High School in Dover.

Actually, I take that back. When this picture was taken, it was in Dover. But the festival visits different locales every year, like the Super Bowl. LOL. It has been at Del Tech in Georgetown. It has also taken place in Salisbury and Centreville, MD.

I covered the chicken festival for years. That frying pan makes some damn good fried chicken, mainly because it holds so much oil that when you put the raw chicken in the temperature of the oil holds steady — a set of conditions almost impossible to duplicate at home.

That’s Delmarva Christian High School in Georgetown, you can’t miss the purple roof.
