Filed in National by on November 6, 2012

NPR is reporting that voters in Belmont, Massachusetts were asked to leave the voting line so Mittens can vote without rubbing elbows with the riffraff. Meanwhile, Vice President Joe Biden stood in line with regular folks to cast his ballot at his polling place.

Indeed DD, it’s a contrast, as has the whole campaign been, as has the last four Obama years have been.

I’m about to go out and vote, and am having an emotional moment. President Obama has struggled against overwhelming odds against him from the opposing party who did everything they could to destroy his presidency, even to the point of interfering maximally with the recovery of our country. To me, the Republican Party has committed treason.

We saw a tear in the eye of our President during his final campaign speech in Des Moines last night, where it all started four years ago. As a commenter so well just said it for me: “You Sir are the best…tested, tried, and true i am voting for you!”

I predict Paul Ryan arrives after polls close and makes them take a photo of him pretending to vote.

  3. Diane Meier says:

    That is absolutely priceless!

  4. Andy says:

Hopefully there might be Pics of Mitt Voting

  5. Linda says:

I saw that tear and thought . . . no it couldn’t be . . . I am glad I was right . . . It made me even prouder to cast my vote for him this morning!!!!!

  6. AQC says:

Speaking of assholes, anyone see the Mark Blake signs with bis stickers on them that say “he’s not Tom Gordon”?

  7. Delaware Dem says:

I saw it, AQC. It’s the reason I voted for Mark Blake.

  8. Alex says:

Being from MA, this does not shock me in the slightest, and just confirms that I made the right choice today!!! I’m sticking with HOPE.

  9. Geezer says:

@AQC and DD: Are you sure those stickers aren’t supposed to be there? I think a lot of people want to vote against Gordon but don’t know the name of his opponent.

  10. reis says:

Mitt only cut in line in front of 47%.

  11. Dave says:

I voted an iffy vote for Obama. Primarily I was voting for not-Romney. In that vein, it is telling that Romney couldn’t wait in line with everyone else and take his turn. It’s not like he had anything else to do at this point except hang around his hotel suite waiting for the returns. Images are important. Not more important than ideas and solutions but important nonetheless. Romney doesn’t have clue about the image he projects because he has no ability to empathize or he would have been sensitive to the image and it’s value in for states just getting into the heat of the voting.

  12. Linda says:

Oh come on those stickers were put on by that asshole Blake to point out that he was not Tom Gordon . . . geez . . . that is how stupid Blake is . . . he cannot even do that right!!!! Like I want that incompetent buffoon Blake running the County! No thanks.

  13. Geezer says:

Let’s see — asshole, stupid, incompetent buffoon. I see your time with Tom Gordon has turned you into as nice a person as he is.

  14. Linda says:

No I actually took the time to sit down and speak with Blake and he came across as a stupid incompetent buffoon. I threw in asshole for good measure! Someone who talks about molding NCCo around all of his “worldly” experiences is an idiot . . .

  15. Geezer says:

I agree that he doesn’t have the credentials for the job, or the sense to understand that slagging a Democratic governor with a 55% approval rating is no way to run for office in the state’s bluest county.

  16. Andy says:

Just saw Video on MSNBC of the Romneys both voting. The video showed a room lined up with quite a few Voting Machines across a wall with Mitt and Ann the only ones in the room
