Chrysler Gives Workers Day Off!

Chrysler has given its workers the day off on Tuesday to vote, according to a tweet from Ralph Gilles, Chrysler’s vice president for product design.

  1. IIRC, the UAW negotiated this into their contract in ’99 or 2000. ALL auto mfrs. w/ UAW employees “gave” their employees the day off.

    This wasn’t a gift. UAW members likely gave up something (pay, benefits, or some other holiday) in order to get this.
