The Welsh Tract Baptist Church in Pencader Hundred. The congregation was founded in 1701, and the meetinghouse was built in 1746. The church is the oldest Old School Baptist church in the United States.

Also, on Sept. 3, 1777 – Battle of Cooch’s Bridge – British cannonfire lodged a ball or two in the building as the Continental soldiers under Maxwell made their final stand there before retreating up the Ogletown Road to Stanton.
