When the President wins reelection next week, the GOP will spin Romney’s failure in several ways:

It’s the liberal/drive-by/lamestream media’s fault. It always is. They covered for President Obama’s lapses in Benghazi, failed to hold him to account for his obvious failures, generally failed to vet him properly in 2008, and ignored the scandals during his first term. They tipped the scales. And in the last week, they covered his response to Hurricane Sandy as if he were a conquering hero. They hated Mitt Romney because they were jealous of his success. They ignored Chicago’s relentless negative campaign.

This in my view misses the most obvious response: Mitt was not conservative enough. So in 2016, go Santorum go!

“There isn’t enough time for these campaigns to rebuild momentum. Insufficient time to get the planes back up in the air. It’s like Christmas Day: technically, we might still have a few hours left to shop, but there isn’t enough time to go, shop and get back home.”– Republican consultant Alex Castellanos, quoted by BuzzFeed, saying the campaign effectively ended on Monday with Hurricane Sandy.

While the simpson’s clip is cute, I just need to go on record that I really really really really hate Le Show.

*gasp* I love Le Show (mostly). Some of the best news snark out there.

And in other news — more GOP voter fraud!

The underlying allegation is that the woman, whose name has not been released, filled in blanks on ballots turned into the county for the Nov. 6 general election.

Sources familiar with the incident say their understanding is that the woman filled in a straight Republican ticket on the ballots where preferences had been left blank by voters.

Elections law makes marking another person’s ballot a class C felony.

So by my count, the vast majority of real voter fraud perpetrated in the US is being done by Republicans, right?
