Over the past few months, the Romney campaign thought it could use former President Bill Clinton to its advantage, but praising his Presidency as a success and unfavorably comparing Obama’s record to his. It was a dumb dumb move.
First, it raised Bill Clinton’s favorability and popularity, as he is now the most popular politician in the country, with with a favorability rating 21 points higher than it was 10 years ago. Second, it provides Bill Clinton and the Obama campaign an opportunity to boomerang the Romney campaign. And that is what that ad is.
The Romney campaign is possibly the most politically incompetent presidential campaign in all history.
