    If it is what I think it is, near this spot in 1582, Cap’m Churchman reportedly said, “I decree that this marsh shall be the place where all local commuters shall be forever bottle-necked at rush hour!”

    All y’all are wrong, and once again let’s thank our illustrious founder Jason330 for letting us partake in his comedic stylings.

    This is the Pagan Creek Dike, near New Road near Lewes. The dike was built in 1660 by the Dutch, who used it as a roadway to travel across the marshland along Canary Creek from the settlement that is now Lewes.

    How is it possible that none of you knew that??? (I’m joking).
