Libertarian-Republican gives Carney unneeded help

Not that it really matters because Kovach doesn’t seem to have a pulse, but there is a Libertarian flavored Republican also running for the house seat.

Take serious look at Scott Gesty

The campaign season will be on us full-force very soon, whether we like it or not.

For U.S. House of Representatives, I’d like to suggest voters take a serious look at Libertarian Scott Gesty as the antidote to more of the same from John Carney or Tom Kovach.

Scott believe that marriage equality is a constitutionally protected right. Carney and Kovach: not so much.

Scott believes we have let the war on drugs become a war on cancer patients, with Delaware doctors afraid to prescribe medical marijuana even though it is now legal, because they fear the Federal Drug Administratinon. Carney and Kovach: silence.

Scott believe that parents, teachers and elected school boards should be in control of public education, not Washington or even Dover. He believes the recent strong-arm attempt to threaten Cape Henlopen School District with the loss of millions of dollars of Race to the Top funds by the Department of Education was simply wrong. Carney: supports Vision 2015 and Race to the Top. Kovach: who knows?

This year ignore the ads and the hype and listen to what the candidates are saying, and what they are not saying. Only Scott Gesty wants to bring a true Delaware agenda to Washington, D.C.

There is a Democrat-flavored Green also running this Fall for the US Rep spot. Bernie August will be representing the Green Party of Delaware on the ballot this Fall. If John Carney seems just a little too much the corporate lackey and you would like to see a true Progressive take the seat, I would ask you to consider Bernie August. Bernie has been a local activist in Delaware for over 30 years. He is truly a man of and for the people.
