I hate that I have to hate Chick-Fil-A now. Why can’t they just be tolerant Southern Baptists?

Yeah, I just realized the flaw with that statement as I look back at it. Damn you S. Truett Cathy for your opiate-laced chicken and bigotry, but most of all for making me choose my values over one of my favorite junk food addiction!

  2. Michael Pawlikowski says:

As usual you liberals have it bass ackwards. Its the mayor of Boston who is intolerant by banning Chick-Fil-A.

Boston Mayor Menino BANS Chick Fila on gay marraige stance

  3. cassandra_m says:

Mayor Menino hasn’t banned Chik-Fil-A, but he is working to stop them from opening on Boston’s Freedom Trail:

“Chick-fil-A doesn’t belong in Boston. You can’t have a business in the city of Boston that discriminates against a population. We’re an open city, we’re a city that’s at the forefront of inclusion,” Menino told the Herald yesterday.

“That’s the Freedom Trail. That’s where it all started right here. And we’re not going to have a company, Chick-fil-A or whatever the hell the name is, on our Freedom Trail.”

And that’s a direct quote from the Herald article you linked to.

But then again, you wingnuts never met a bit of bigotry that you didn’t work at defending.

  4. tobyz says:

I grew up in the South. Intollerant doesn’t begin to describe the Southern Baptists. Let’s make a distinction between banning and defending, Pawlikowski.

For instance, you have most likely banned reason, understanding and compassion toward others who are different than you, while most rationale, intelligent and sentient beings try to defend those being discriminated against.

  5. Should be grateful they saved the mall. They are a great American company. It is a shame that they have to put up with such slander. Actually standing by natural law and common sense may not be politically correct, but it is not hatred either. Of course you hysterical types don’t know the difference between disagreement and hatred.

  6. Jason330 says:

David, change “… donated millions to anti-gay groups.” to “… donated millions to the KKK.”

Some folks still think that it is a natural law that blacks are inferior to whites.

    Get it now?

    No. Of course you don’t.

  7. Garlic and Onions says:

“standing by natural law” is a bullshit statement. Why are people even allowed to speak these words, much less type them. I masticate, I defecate, and I will decompose are “natural law.” Behavior does not fall in that realm.

  8. Republican David says:

There are many companies that have agendas different than mine. I don’t attack their rights. Jason, One there is nothing wrong with being anti-gay agenda. The so called “gay agenda” is poison to the culture. Two, the gay agenda being pushed by the extreme faction of the homosexual community seems to have little relationship to the real lives of the majority in it. Merely opposing the political agenda of some or even all of a group does not equate hating them or make you anti-blank.

I hate to remind you that the KKK killed people who disagreed with them and tried to shut down political dissent. That sounds more like today’s left wing. They try to shut down and destroy anyone who holds a different opinion.

  9. Republican David says:

G & O to procreate is also natural law. Supporting the stable institutionalization of it is common sense while undermining it is foolishness.

So go ahead and bash people who hold to common values and commons sense whether Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, or whatever, you are the one out of step with reality.

  10. cassandra_m says:

Unfortunately for Delusional David, the applicable law here is Constitutional — where all men are created equal under the law and Americans have every right to tell bigoted American companies that they risk their businesses for abiding by that bigotry.

  11. Geezer says:

“The so called “gay agenda” is poison to the culture.”

Please support this vague, borderline-nonsense statement with data.

  12. Garlic and Onions says:

And once upon a time it was common sense that men should have many wives and concubines, and later it was common sense that women weren’t smart enough to vote… That was not natural law either, but ignorant people believed it was.

For everyone interested in a good protest — August 1, 2012 is NATIONAL Same Sex Kiss Day at Chick Fil A’s around the country. All *you* have to do, is grab a partner, get to the local Chick Fil A and start making out. Awesome! They’ve a page on Facebook if you want more info.

That’s sure to convince the families that tend to eat there. Make sure you include enough transvestites and the transgendered too, that way the theatrics of the event and the whole show will be even more convincing to parents and kids.

Wouldn’t humping each other on the table convince even more people to be as tolerant and as full of love as you are about sexuality? Then if the police are called you could even play pretend that it’s just like the old civil rights movement. Maybe you’ll be joined by nudists or people who want to play pretend that other forms of sexual expression are the equivalent of a civil right too. After all, what’s the harm in staging a kiss in naked? Aren’t we all supposed to be as full of love as everyone seems to be these days?

  16. socialistic ben says:

David, another great piece of natural law is talked about in a book called the Bell Curve. Backed up by “science” and “nature” and everything!!! you should read it.
Ive hated chik-fail-a for a long time now… I only ever want chicken sandwiches on sunday…. so yeah.

  17. puck says:

Delaware Politics is celebrating a great gay American today.

  18. Republican David says:

What is wrong with that? Greatness is from the character, not the bedroom. I couldn’t care less about the sexual orientation, I care about the character, accomplishments, and contribution to humanity. Being bisexual or gay doesn’t diminish or enhance that.

  19. kavips says:

(Sorry I’m so late in the reply…) But… There you go again David. Calling on “natural law” again… I thought we settled that issue way back in October 2010……
