Shorter Daniello: Suck it Siglar
Delaware Democratic Party Chair John D. Daniello’s Statement On Filing Deadline Passing:
“The passing of the filing deadline today is another sign that campaign season is here. Our endorsed statewide slate is one of our best yet, and we’re ready to work together to win. I can’t emphasize enough how confident I am in this year’s ticket. And with strong Democratic candidates filed in almost every race in Delaware, I know this is certain to be a very good year for our Party.”
“They were dead flat wrong”
I’m not a huge fan of Stenny Hoyer, but i love how he takes the GOP to the woodshed on taxes in this statement.
“Very frankly, history shows (Clinton era tax rates will hurt the economy) to be a fallacious argument. That was the argument they made in 1993 — that we were going to destroy the economy; that deficits were going to explode; that unemployment would skyrocket, and that the stock market would tank….
So-called “Doctor” John E. Stapleford slips further into the abyss of wingnutery
When does a partisan “think tank” become a deranged, saliva coated “rant tank?” That is the question Stapey seems to be exploring these days. At this rate he’ll be using all caps and the word “Libtards” in a matter of months.
Tuesday Open Thread [7.10.12]
The new ABC/WaPo polls show that support for ‘Obamacare’ went from 53%-39% against in April to 47% to 47% today. Looks like a constitutional Supreme Court bounce.
Ron Paul’s cornhuskers hope to rear end Romney
How awesome would it be if Paulist lunatics pull this off in Nebraska, and throw the GOP convention into complete disarray?
That’s a rhetorical question. We all the know the answer is, “So f@%$ING AWESOME!”
GO PAULIST LUNATICS!!
The Polling Report [7.10.12]
I am issuing an APB for state polling organizations. It has been two weeks since we had a batch of state polls. We just got a Field Poll out of California, but what we want is polling out of the swing states. In the Gallup poll below, President Obama has a small lead over Mitt Romney, 47% to 45%, in 12 swing states. Across the entire country, the margin doubles to four, 48% to 44%.
Filing Deadline Open Thread: The Final Hours
Once again, I’ll start. We can still look for another strong candidate to emerge in the 1st RD–one with the support of none other than our friend and colleague Mike Matthews himself. While noon today is the deadline for filing, it is not the deadline for withdrawals. There will almost certainly be some over the next few days. There are a lot of intriguing primaries on the docket. I’m gonna try to whittle them down to the “10 Most Fascinating Primaries” in a piece that will appear whenever I finish it. If I ever finish it.
We’ll talk about all of this on the Al Mascitti Show, this Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon on WDEL-1150 Newsradio.
