Romney’s healthcare flip/flops provide Obama with multiple lines of attack

Filed in National by on July 6, 2012

Check out these recent stump speech quotes from Obama, and count the ways Romney has screwed himself:

“The guy I’m running against tried this in Massachusetts and it’s working just fine, even though he denies it,”

“One of the things that you learn as president is that what you say matters, and your principles matter,” Obama said. “And sometimes, you’ve got to fight for things that you believe in and you can’t just switch on a dime.”

“The fact that a whole bunch of Republicans in Washington suddenly said this is a tax — for six years he said it wasn’t, and now he has suddenly reversed himself, So the question becomes, are you doing that because of politics? Are you abandoning a principle that you fought for, for six years, simply because you’re getting pressure for two days from Rush Limbaugh or some critics in Washington?”

Santorumophiles and Gingrichites who thought that it would be hard for Romney to take on Obama because of Romneycare, were right on at least that point.

  1. Delaware Dem says:

The GOP nominated the worst possible candidate against Obama, and they are just now realizing it.

  2. xstryker says:

Yeah, the worst, except for Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Rick Santorum, Ron Paul, Rick Perry, Donald Trump, Michelle Bachmann, Fred Karger, Buddy Roemer, Gary Johnson, or Thad McCotter. Given that Jon Huntsman might as well be a Democrat in their eyes, the only guy they ought to be kicking theirselves over is Tim Pawlenty. Let’s face it, the GOP sucks and no sane human being wants to be their candidate in 2012.
