I just got polled in the NCCo. Executive Race.
For real this time. And by that I mean, it was a real poll, not a push poll from a union on behalf of Tom Gordon. The pollster asked my opinion on a host of issues facing New Castle County, and also asked me what I thought was the most important issue facing the county. I answered “development.” I was asked my opinion of Tom Gordon. I answered unfavorable because I consider him a criminal. Then I was asked my opinion of Paul Clark, and I said I wanted to answer undecided, but was told my only two options now were favorable or unfavorable. So I said unfavorable due to my concerns over his ethics.
I was then asked if the election were held today, who would be getting my vote, and the choices were Clark, Gordon, Shahan or undecided. I answered Shahan.
Wednesday Open Thread [5.23.12]
Hawaii has verified that the President was born in Hawaii, and, perhaps simultaneously, Arizona’s Secretary of State has backed away from his previous birther statement and apologized for embarrassing his own state with a conspiracy theory-fueled investigation into whether the president was really a natural born U.S. citizen.
50 Shades Of Agony
It’s rare that I don’t finish a book, but I just couldn’t make it through the latest sensation 50 Shades of Grey.
Before I get into my review of a book I didn’t finish, let me tell you that I’m a sucker for a good, steamy romance. After a day of pouring over political articles and listening to pundits I love to be swept away in romantic fantasy. There. That’s my confession… and guilty pleasure.
Moving on… I heard about the book from my mother (who hasn’t read it, but had heard about the hoopla) who knew I indulged in the genre. Out of curiosity I downloaded the book to my Kindle. I tried to read it, and in my defense I don’t expect romance novels to be great literature, but… Oh. My. God. What I read of this book was terrible. Poorly written, poorly edited, and with a heroine no one but Twilight fans could relate to.
Polling Report [5.23.12]
Florida moves into the Lean Romney camp, while Pennsylvania stays in the Lean Obama camp. North Carolina stays as a toss up state, despite the number of Romney ads Jason is seeing in North Carolina right now.
Christine O’Donnell to Run in 2014 [Prayers Answered]
Alternative title: Wow, this Jonathan Moseley guy really sounds like a creepy obsessive stalking guy…. but that is if I only believe Christine O’Donnell’s side of the story and what the hell I am doing believing Christine O’Donnell’s side of the story?
Did McDowell & Williams Go Rogue?
Signs point to ‘yes’. On the first day of budget mark-up by the Joint Finance Committee, co-chairs Sen. Harris McDowell and Rep. Dennis P. Williams unveiled a proposed 2% pay hike for state employees. Trouble is that they apparently did not give anyone a ‘heads-up’ on the move. By ‘anyone’, I mean the Markell Administration […]
Inspirational Posters Vol. 2 #1
This is my first one in a long time. I’ll get better as the campaign progresses.
Poll Results — The Dark Side is too powerful
I will give Tom Gordon credit…. he has minions who follow his every edict, and those minions are pretty internet savy.
David Anderson is an evil Socialist Conspirator.
I cannot wait until the showdown between Crazy Eileen and David Anderson. First Mr. Anderson claims birtherism is a distraction and that the President was born in the U.S. Then he blames Obama for birtherism because, well…. I don’t know.
