I’m watching Gingrich formally end his campaign, you know, just to make sure he does.

Looks like Pete Schwartzkopf is doing what Danny Short didn’t have the balls to do.

Here is the links to HB 325, and Danny Shorts House resolution. Hopefully soon we will get this passed and we won’t have a renegade on the loose down here in Sussex.

  9. Dave says:

HB 325 is a much better bill in that addresses the issue in a more complete manner. Pete deserves some praise for getting this on the table in such a short time after Danny became a eunuch (not that there is anyting wrong with eunuchs of course).

  10. Anon says:

You are right Dave, Pete does deserve recognition for cleaning this up before someone got killed. The longer this drags on the more the sheriff and his merry men were going to push the issue.

  11. MJ says:

Short and the rest of the County Eunuch caucus should take a lesson from Pete – this is what representing the people is all about. Now, go ask Jeff Christopher and St. Bodie Girl if you can have your balls back.

  12. Geezer says:

Pete is screwing up here. Running against the state/Democrats is exactly what the Sussex nutcases want. Pete should leave them alone. They have enough rope, and they don’t know how to fashion it into anything but a noose.

His original position was the correct one: Republicans are the nutcases here, let Republicans slap them down. If he thinks the GOP council members will owe him a chit, he’s dreaming. If he thinks he’s going to regain the good graces of the state police brass, he’s mistaken.

There is no political benefit to doing this; he therefore should not be doing it.

  13. MJ says:

Geezer, I got to disagree with you. No one has the balls to challenge Wyatt Earpless and it’s going to cost someone their life. The Supremes aren’t going to touch this until there is a legal challenge, and the only way there will be a legal challenge is by doing this. Pete is basically giving the Sussex Eunuch Party the finger. Bully for him.

  14. SussexWatcher says:

There were enough details in the county’s report to make this a matter of public safety requiring urgent action. Pete was right to move quickly here. Charges were dropped because an arrest wasn’t made properly? The DSP and chief JP judge have directed their staffs not to put up with this shit? Deputies invited themselves to a crime scene? And no one in the mainstream press (paging Ron MacArthur and James Fisher) has yet reported on the Torres hiring – a deputy who had his police cert forcibly stripped from him.

  15. anon says:

On Torres, someone may want to check out Superior Court case N11M-04-102.
