3rd Worst State for Fraud
hat would be Delaware, and the kind of fraud that is being compared here is consumer fraud: identity theft, mortgage fraud, debt collection fraud and other types of scams focused on consumers. Only Florida and Colorado are worse, according to this piece from 24/7 Wall Street. New Jersey is ranked 10th, with Washington, Georgia, Virginia, Arizona, and Maryland ranked 9th through 6th. Politico Explained In Two Tweets
The following tweets from Roger Simon, chief political columnist of Politico, sure explains a lot.

Rescue woman from burning house. Check. Seriously, what’s next for the mayor of Newark, New Jersey? But while pundits think about what Booker will do next, let’s take a moment to enjoy this feel good story.
Delaware’s Drought?
USA Today had an article this morning about the drought conditions facing most of the United States. But, let me direct you to phillyweather.net’s article earlier this week which is far better and, well, more local.
Mr. Kim’s Wild Ride
Oops. North Korea went ahead with its rocket launch, I guess in hopes of forcing the world’s hand or some other nonsense. Two big problems. First the rocket disintegrated after launch, and then came the condemnation from the world.
Newly Released Affidavit In Zimmerman Case

Delaware Political Weekly: April 7-13, 2012

He runs a Mailboxes, Etc. store, she is co-owner of an industrial upholstery company that has been widely praised as a model small business. […]
Quote of the Day
This is going to be the most moneyed election in the history of the United States. There is a sense of coming full circle, of forgetting our history — the reason we installed a system for financing campaigns that didn’t rely on corporate or wealthy money. – Bob Edgar, the president of Common Cause (link)
