Zimmerman’s ex-lawyers seem to be out and about today making the case that Zimmerman might be mentally unstable. Even though they say they are no longer working for him, I can’t believe that lawyers would be telling every microphone in sight about Zimmerman’s erratic behavior in order to get a narrative going. Strange. But it will be interesting to see what they decide to charge Zimmerman with since so very much of this investigation was botched or just not done.

  2. pandora says:

His lawyers’ press conference was the oddest thing. Does anyone know where George Zimmerman is?

  3. Dana Garrett says:

Perhaps my suspicions are running on overdrive, but I wonder if his lawyers “quit” the case precisely to create the impression that he is unstable.

  4. socialistic ben says:

of course he’s unstable. I’ve been saying this whole time that Zimmerman probably has some mental health problems…. not in the way that all racists have mental health problems…. but 40 calls in a month to 911 is a sign of someone who has pretty bad paranoia. The criminals who are going to get away with their actions are the Sanford PD. Zimmerman will be charged… hopefully enough evidence exists to secure some sort of sentence…. what happens to him in jail is anybody’s guess… but Bill Lee (how many freakin right wing nut Bill Lees are there anyway?) and his posse will still have jobs as cops.

  5. SussexAnon says:

There was a report that a Sandford PD detective wanted to charge Zim with manslaughter back when he was detained, but the prosecuting attorney chose not to.

Don’t look to the PD, look to the prosecutor who said no. (regarding prosecution)

The 3 day way for the parents to be notified by the police is another matter entirely. Thats assuming that reporting is accurate, which is not certain given the other information put out there.

Angela Corey has said that she will “release new information” at 6pm press conference.

Great, there will be a huge trial, media circus continues, followed by an acquittal and riots. Sounds like the media will make a killing in ad revenue.

This is the perfect opportunity for Delaware GOP Chairman John Sigler to do the party and the State a favor, show us the NRA GOP TEA has a heart and a brain to go along with all the ideology.

Sigler should tell Delaware voters that nothing in the second amendment condones or encourages people to be reckless and aggressive with firearms. Nor should any law regarding self-defense encourage reckless behavior with guns.

In light of what happened in Florida, as well as considering how our existing self-defense laws have served us well for many generations, it is our hope that prudent people will reconsider the wisdom of these new, more liberal, Stand Your Ground laws.

We want voters in Delaware to know that nothing in our Second Amendment positions is meant to justifies what appears to have happened in Florida with Travon Martin.

  9. pandora says:

The only reason everyone (media and others) got involved is because the Sanford Police didn’t. It really is as simple as that.

  10. socialistic ben says:

think, im not sure if it was accidental genius or intentional… but calling the SYG law “liberal” could be a good way to sway idiot conservatives against it 🙂

The Court of Public Opinion is the highest court in the land, always has been. If I was Zimmerman I would have been on an extended vacation in Brazil, or some other country with strong extradition standards. But I doubt he was that bright or financially able. So now it looks like he’ll be in jail. It’s too bad they made such a racial issue out of it.

Ben – Why do Liberals resort to name calling anyone that disagrees with their views?

Pretty cool series of tests from Harvard which let you gauge your unconscious thoughts related to people based on different parameters such as race, gender, weight, etc. The results can be sobering.
