DL is a site for fighting DEMOCRATS…

Filed in Delaware by on March 19, 2012

that’s why we should consider voting for this guy:

Andrew Groff of the Green Party instead of the execrable Tom Carper. Oh I know…I can hear the whimpering already… “but, what if Carper’s feelings are hurt? What if it gives the race to Smooth-like-Suede, Kevin Wade?”

C’mon. Wade. Please. We all know that there is no way in hell Carper does not cruise to re-election. As a wise man once said, “In a Democracy, if there is nobody you can vote FOR, you are morally obligated to vote AGAINST someone.” I think that was Gandhi who said that perhaps Edison, I’m not sure. Just let the truth of it ring in your ears for a second.

Okay then. Progressives who says that they don’t like Carper because of his shittiest in Congress voting record, can now band together. Instead of shaking our little fists in impotent rage. We can shake our little fists in ever so slightly less impotent rage.

Flashback: In 2006 DL endorsed Karen Peterson as a write-in protest vote against Carper. The Repub was Jan Ting and Christine O’Donnell was running her own write-in campaign. I wrote in Karen Peterson, I had to ask for instructions and was horrified as I realized they thought I was voting for O’Donnell. Later I tried to look up write-in results for Peterson but apparently there weren’t enough votes to register. Good Lord, has it been six years?

    Go Groff!

    Makes sense to me.

  3. Bo says:

    Groff isn’t a Democrat….

  4. Jason330 says:

That’s right. In this very narrow circumstance, voting for the Green Party candidate is a legitimate option.

  5. Dana Garrett says:

I’m voting for.Groff. No way in he’ll I’m voting Carper. Carper is a DINO.

  6. Geezer says:

    “Groff isn’t a Democrat….”

    He’s closer than Carper.

  7. Delaware Dem says:

Unfortunately, I cannot agree. In the primary, I will vote for John Kowalko as a write in vote against Carper. In the General, I will either be voting for Carper or not at all (I would leave that line unchecked).

I am a Democrat, not a Green. And yes, I am still bitter over 2000.

  8. JTF says:

Groff is also in bed with the Ron Paul libertarians, so, who needs the UN.

  9. puck says:

It’s a PROTEST vote. It doesn’t matter who it’s for as long as they don’t have a chance of winning, and as long as it’s not Carper.

  10. Senator Tom Carper says:

Dear Constituents, I wish I could bring you dick-stains behind the curtain to show you how things actually work. For one thing I would be amused by watching you turn into gurgling, catatonic meat sacks. And if you were able to compose yourselves, I’d enjoy watching you then type your visa card numbers into my donations page.

You know full well that if you want my attention, that’s the only way you are going to get it, so get off the wallet or don’t. But don’t make me laugh trotting out alternatives like Groff or Wade.

If I thought Groff or Wade posed the slightest threat to me, thanks to the patriot act, their disembodied heads would be in a Buenos Aires landfill this afternoon. And you goddamn know it.

    Have a great day losers.

Is he really in bed with the Paulites? Well hey–the vehicle of your PROTEST vote has a linkup to someone with a pretty long history of prejudiced and racist writings, so you’ve got your work cut out for you in getting this bit of progressive genius some legs.

I’m definitely not voting for Carper and may just join DD in writing in Kowalko’s name.

But hey, good luck with this.

I don’t know who moderates this site, but direct impersonations, even when obvious, should not be tolerated. Internet posts do not die and there are enough people out there who misuse this type of information. This type of post might be ok for the The Onion whose brand is the farfetched but not here. Just sayin’

  13. Jason330 says:

    Merci!

  14. Jason330 says:

You mean you don’t think that was written by Senator Tom Carper?
