We are all funny guys this morning. This is in Battery Park in Delaware City. It is a diving bell. The bell was used as an air chamber to allow workers to make repairs underwater on the locks of the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal. Dating back to 1839, the bell was in use off and on until the canal was converted to sea level in 1927.
