The good Republican wife and famous Catholic, Claista Gingrich, is giving up having her own opinions for lent.

    I kid you not.

  2. auntie dem says:

I was wandering around the internet this morning and came across the preview for GCB. It was ad-free and ran 43 minutes so I figured what the heck. The writing leaves a lot to be desired and it is painful to watch Annie Potts delivering such hackneyed dialogue but if you enjoy watching and laughing at hypocrisy this show has promise. There are some funny moments. Oh, and if you’ve been wondering what GCB stands for its Good Christian Bitches. Hah. Seems pretty out there for ABC but it might make them some money.

  3. Joanne Christian says:

Middletown Town Council elections on Monday–whoever heard of Monday elections?

  4. mediawatch says:

    Joanne,
They’re keeping your Tuesdays free in case you have to vote somewhere else.

  5. Rustydils says:

It has now been proven that the long form birth certificate that Obama says is his real birth certificate was created electronically.
The layering, and certain other aspects of the document have proven beyond a resonable doubt that the the electronic document could not have originated from a paper original. Which means, unless there was some digital stuff back in 1961 that I am not aware of,

Lucy, you got some splaining to do.

  6. pandora says:

    Rusty, Link please.

Wanna bet Rusty links to World Nut Daily?

  7. Delaware Dem says:

Rusty is using the Nazi Sheriff Joe Arapaio’s “investigation.” The funny thing is, the layering theory was already debunked by Fox News 18 months ago. So all we learned today is that Rusty is a racist.

  8. Delaware Dem says:

See Rusty Racist, I back up my arguments.

  9. kavips says:

What is interesting is that a video that documents the layering process of Adobe Illustrator is readily available on YouTube.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jIXZ_DF_U3I

It was actually put up by a anti-Obamist who just hates people who tell lies, more than he hates the commander in chief… lol.

The problem with this episode… IS

Romney’s former head of Arizona campaign.

Rolls out a Massive Looney Topic. Birth Certificate is Fake based on original research…. which, to his credit, could look like he stumbled upon a significant finding…..

Without ever checking it out first… to see what others might have said…

    That is a real FAIL.

    That is really stupid.

    That is totally dumb.

What a loser. And he was Romney’s campaign director?

So let me get this right….

We have this press conference in Arizona because:

    a) I discovered this all by myself with no help from my mom.
    b) I’m too dumb to look on the Internet first before going public.
    c) My opinion is the only thing that matters in this universe.
    d) All of the above….

Ha, ha… and you wonder why you have to actually pay people to even pretend to take your party seriously? ha, ha ha… 🙂

Dare any Republican to show me a stupider person on this planet.

  10. reality check says:

Responding to Rustydils is like responding to that growling, frothing at the mouth, semi mad-dog behind that picket fence. Ignoring that type of vegetative mind eventually allows them to think they have made a point and slink back into their excrement filled doghouse satisfied for the moment. Ignore their air-fouling diatribes and theories and eventually they wont be able to get their own attention.

  11. socialistic ben says:

    well put!

  12. Jason330 says:

When I see Republicans reopening birtherism or talking about contraception, I think to myself, “Could President Obama be any luckier? ”

Honestly. Are Sheriff Joe Arapaio, Rick Santorum, Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rush Limbaugh on the “Obama/Biden 2012” payroll? It is sure begining to feel that way.

  13. kavips says:

Equally ridiculous is their economic plan…

    Plank one:

The way to grow jobs is for you to give me even more of your money.

  14. Jason330 says:

To be fair, it creates accopunting jobs in the Cayman Islands.

  15. Rustydils says:

    http://www.theblaze.com/stories/az-sheriff-joe-arpaio-releases-results-of-obama-birth-certificate-probe-forgery/

Hey, take it easy on me, today is my birthday, just trying to pass on some info that I thought you guys might possibly be concerened about. This language is different. This is by law enforecement officials who say fraud has been committed. They have used forensic experts, and disagree with the earlier findings of Jean-Claude Tremblay.

  16. Jason330 says:

Like I said, could President Obama be any luckier? It is tough to imagine. I guess the GOP could nominate Donald Trump or Joe Arapaio in a brokered convention.

The way things are going, you can’t rules that out.

  17. Rustydils says:

Thanks socialistic ben, pretty funny. I think I am 39 today, but I am definately going to have to manufacture me a new certificate to prove I am only 39. I better go get started on that.

  18. socialistic ben says:

though you’d appreciate that 🙂 You inadvertently raise an interesting point. WHat if Obama isnt (or wasnt) OLD ENOUGH to run for president in addition to not being born here. I submit to you, that through a lot of plastic surgery and trickery that Barack Obama started off as a 21 (now almost 25) year old lesbian girl from Sweeden. MIchelle, the girls, the grandparents… all paid actors. I think we may have finally found the answer!

  19. Jason330 says:

I guess the advertisers got to Rush. He kinda, sorta gave a non-apology apology.

  20. Delaware Dem says:

I don’t want any apologies from him. I want him destroyed. I want him off the air permanently. That can be his apology to humanity. To leave us all alone for the rest of his days.

So no apology from him is sufficient. The cancellation of his show and his banishment from air would be.

  21. Jason330 says:

    He certianly is a cancer.

  22. Rustydils says:

Rush went on the air a couple of months before Reagan left offfice. He has made a ton of money, had a good run. Once Romney is elected the world will be back to normal again, and there won’t be any need for Rush limbaugh. My prediction, Rush last show, will be January, 2013. Still looking for anyone that wants to take on my one dollar bet that Romney will win 40 or more states in the General. Let’s let pandora create a list. I will take up to 250 bets, at one dollar each, even money. If Romney wins 40 or more states in the General, then I win, if he does not, then you win, See if Pandora would be willing to keep this record, come on everyone, put your money where your mouth is.

  23. pandora says:

Oh sure, make the woman the secretary. 😉

  24. MJ says:

Rushbo said “My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir,” Limbaugh said on his website. “I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices.”

How the hell is it being funny to call someone you have never met a slut and a prostitute? That’s not funny, Rush, that’s slander.

Do us all a favor, Rush, OD on your pain pills and end our misery.

    Yeah, I went there!

  25. Rustydils says:

Pandora, I’ll take that as a no. But seriously, if anyone wants to keep track, let me know, my bet is out there.

  26. MJ says:

Rusty, a “posse” but together by Racist Joe Arpaio is not law enforcement, it’s an Arizona version of the Keystone Kops.

  27. Jason330 says:

I just read the whole Limbaugh diatribe. OMG. What a scumbag. It goes way beyond the slut comment.

  28. pandora says:

Rush Limbaugh lied about Ms. Fluke’s testimony and all the wingnuts quoted him without ever reading what she actually said. Typical. She should sue him.

As of now he’s lost 6 advertisers. Good.

  29. MJ says:

And another conservative Rethuglican gets caught with his pants down.

One of Maryland’s top politicians used his security detail to set up weekly sexual encounters with a subordinate in Annapolis parking lots, to maintain dossiers on political opponents and to make sure his two lovers never ran into each other, according to an indictment released Friday.

Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold, one of the state’s highest-ranking elected Republicans and a fixture for nearly three decades in power circles in the state capital, was indicted Friday on multiple counts of official misconduct in the alleged use of county police officers for personal and political gain.

  30. Jason330 says:

“Carbonite To Drop Ads From Limbaugh’s Show Despite Apology

“No one with daughters the age of Sandra Fluke, and I have two, could possibly abide the insult and abuse heaped upon this courageous and well-intentioned young lady. Mr. Limbaugh, with his highly personal attacks on Miss Fluke, overstepped any reasonable bounds of decency. Even though Mr. Limbaugh has now issued an apology, we have nonetheless decided to withdraw our advertising from his show. We hope that our action, along with the other advertisers who have already withdrawn their ads, will ultimately contribute to a more civilized public discourse.””

  31. socialistic ben says:

That’s pretty excellent. It’s so satisfying when the Free Market these scumbags claim to represent destroys them. There’s no place for them to hide.

  32. Jason330 says:

Aside from transporting Han Solo across the galaxy. I’m not even sure what you’d use carbonite for- but I’m glad they are smacking down Limbagh.

  33. Jason330 says:

Today’s NJ front pager on John Atkins is chock full of LOL moments. It is tough to decide who has the worst judgement. Atkins, or the losers who keep returning him to Leg Hall.

  34. Rustydils says:

I definately agree that it is the advertisers that got to Rush. I think that is the great thing about the profit and loss system inherent in our country. Rush is all about ratings, so once his sponsers started threating to pull the plug, he had to apologize. The free market place working again. I am an avid golfer, and one of my favorite moments for sponsers trying to get there way, but being unsuccessful was a few years ago at the masters golf club, when woman were organizing protesters because augusta national did not allow women. Unfortunately in that instance, it did not work, because Agusta National has enough money to last into perpetuity, without sponsers. Unnfortunately for most enterprises, they are not in that situation, so I think it is a great part of our economic system, that in the end, you do have to answer to the sponsers

  35. Rustydils says:

Guys, don’t blow off this Joe arpaio thing so quickly, remember, ignoring the facts does not change the facts. If you watch the whole 1.2 hour press conference on you tube, they show numerous videos that prove that the electronic file of obama’s long form birth certificate was not scanned using ocr software technology, or optimized either. Both those things had been in consideration before as explanation for the anamalies that are present in the file. The videos show conclusively that neither ocr technology or optimization were used. Additionally, they easily prove his civil service card was a very crude forgery. So watch the whole video. Remember tricky Dick won reelection in a landslide, after convencing the american public(including my Dad) that “he was not a crook”. Unfortunately for Obama, as soon as Romney becomes the enevitable gop nominee, the republican party, (Not Romney) will go after Obama on this Hard. Also, the law enforcement officers were able to obtain all the microfilm from the INS for people entering the country for months around that time period. Only one problem, the week they needed, was somehow missing. (remind anyone of the missing 17 minutes in watergate). Additionally they know the exact computer that this document was created on, and uploaded 20 minutes before it was made public. They also have identified a person of interest in creating the forgery. At this point, they are not accusing Obama. They are not disputing his Citizenship. They are simply saying that the long form birth certificate was manufactured as an electronic document, never originated as a paper document, is a forgery, and a crime has been committed.

  36. cassandra m says:

Except there are no facts, just the usual GOP delusion and conspiracy. And, of course, Arpaio looking for headlines and media attention.

And now what you need to do is to go discuss this someplace where this tinfoilhattery is acceptable dinner conversation. Because it isn’t here.

  37. Geezer says:

“the republican party, (Not Romney) will go after Obama on this Hard.”

That would be the best of all possible courses of action for the Democrats. Not only would it help re-elect Obama, but the more lower-level GOP candidates embrace full-bore wingnuttery, the better the Democrats’ chances of regaining the House and even holding onto the Senate.

The irrationality of this silliness is not lost on the portion of the American electorate — still a majority, I’m pretty sure — that recognizes insanity when it sees and hears it.

Barack Obama’s illegitimacy makes no difference to people who need jobs — and especially not to people who kept their jobs because Obama saved them from the clutches of vulture capitalists like Romney.

  38. Rustydils says:

Cassandra, since you say there are no facts, I am assuming you did not watch the 1.2 hour press conference, with videos contained within showing the evidence in video form. If these are not facts, please give us “your” definition of “facts”. The video’s shown, proved beyond resonable doubt that ocr technology, or optimizing, was definately NOT used on the electronic longform birth certificate document. And since that IS the case, There is no other explanation for the anomalies that show up that are completely in consistent with a document that originated as a paper document. So the facts are that this electronic file of the Presidents Long Form Birth Certificate is the only document on earth with the anomolies that it has, if it were authentic. Think about that, the only document on earth with those anomalies. Those seem like facts to me.

  39. Jason330 says:

My first reaction to Rustydils is, “oh my. He is serious.” Then I pray to the FSM and ask that all of the other Republicans in the country come down with whatver Rusty has.

But then I say, I better give that a second reading and make sure I’m not missing anything and I think, “A 1.2 hour press conference …? What’s that an hour and 12 minutes?”

  40. puck says:

“The video’s shown, proved beyond resonable doubt that ocr technology, or optimizing, was definately NOT used on the electronic longform birth certificate document.”

Probably because it wasn’t invented yet.

Did anybody bother to write this evidence down, or do I have to go watch Sheriff Joe’s 1-hour video? Not that I am seriously proposing to watch the video.

  41. Jason330 says:

1 point 2 hour video. ONE. POINT. TWO GODDAM IT!!!

  42. pandora says:

    Could 1.2 hour be… 1/2 hour?

  43. Jason330 says:

It can’t be a typo because he mentioned the 1.2…ONE! POINT! TWO! GODDAM IT!!! In two different comments.

1.2 seems eseencial to the fatual nature of the facts.

  44. cassandra m says:

As if no one has ever used a press conference to get his tinfoil hat on. There is no evidence — by any OED definition of the word.

Your last warning on this Mr. Tin Foil. Have this conversation someplace where people think your 1.2 hour press conference isn’t a seriously bad ripoff of the X Files.

  45. MJ says:

Arpaio is as big a media whore as Ann Coulter. When the media is ignoring them, they come out with some off-the-wall asinine comment and then have an orgasm because their name is in the news.

Rusty, you really need to go get your head examined. It sounds like you’re having an LSD flashback.

  46. Dave says:

Look everyone knows Ronald Reagan was born in a state that borders Canada. “They” claim that he was born in an apartment of a commercial building. Consequently, there are no witnesses such you would have in a hospital, that can verify he wasn’t born in Canada and secreted across the border. Additionally, there was no verification that his “parents” were actually his real parents and that he was not a love child of a Canadian teenager who gave Ronald to Jack and Nellie. It should also be noted that Jack Reagan was a salesman AND a storyteller (not to mention being Irish). This is all very suspect in my view. Maybe the Sheriff Arpaio would be interested in forming a posse to run this ground?

  47. JPconnorjr says:

Jason is there any evidence whatsoever that he ever said one hour and twelve minutes???? This could be crucial!!!!!

  48. Geezer says:

On the American body politic, Sheriff Joe Arpaio is the anal wart.

  49. Jason330 says:

Exactly JP. There are more layers to this mystery than an 1961 OCR scan.

  50. Rustydils says:

Just thought you guys would be interested in this development, but I guess not, sorry for bringing it up

  51. MJ says:

Rusty, bring FACTS, not fairy tales, and maybe someone might be interested. Until then, stop posting bullshit.
