Even Delaware has an Approval Rating
Just to make sure that our state itself is not feeling left out of our Tracking Poll, Public Policy Polling has conducted a nationwide poll concerning the favorability of the fifty individual states.
Do you have a favorable or unfavorable opinion of the state of Delaware?
Favorable……………………………………………….. 32%
Unfavorable ……………………………………………. 16%
Not sure …………………………………………………. 52%
Well, it is a good thing that Delaware has a net positive rating by 16 points, even if over half the respondents are responding by saying “Delawhere?”
The crosstabs are where the results really get interesting.
Not surprisingly, if you are liberal, very liberal, or moderate, you love Delaware. If you are conservative or very conservative, you don’t. Democrats and Independents love Delaware. Republicans are conflicted. Women love Delaware. Men are divided.

If they broke it down by county, they would have to severely re-work Sussex results.

People are probably voting based on a few references to Delaware in ‘The Simpsons’ and Wayne’s World.
