Delaware Liberal Tracking Poll Results: Tom Carper

Filed in Delaware by on February 20, 2012

Tom Carper has some friends in the party after all. Indeed, it is heartening to know that the party staff and his campaign staff read DL. Thanks for the traffic, guys!

Do You approve or disapprove of Senator Tom Carper’s job performance?

Strongly Approve — 44%
Strongly Disapprove — 19%
Approve — 17%
Disapprove — 17%
Don’t Know / No Opinion / Meh — 3%

Total Votes: 153

So that is a 61% approval rating for the good Senator, and a 36% disapproval rating. Not many people are undecided on Tom Carper, with only 3% not expressing an opinion. Since the Senator is up for reelection this year, we will be polling him again, as we will with all the candidates up for reelection, so it will be interesting to see if his approval number varies drastically. So I guess Del Dem offices and the Carper HQ are going to have to read DL daily.

Today we are polling Lt. Governor Matt Denn, who is also up for reelection this year.

  1. Senator Tom Carper says:

    Suck it dipshits.

  2. Delaware Dem says:

I would love for a real poll to be conducted on Carper to see how much Republican or conservative support he has. I bet you that the general Castle-DuPont-Establishment Republican strongly approves of Carper.

  3. socialistic ben says:

does that establishment still even exist? they

  4. Anonymous says:

Will Tom Carper sign on to the “Sense of Senate” legislation declaring war on Iran? Joe Lieberman has rounded up l/3 of the Senate to sign. Do you at Delaware Liberal think Chris Coons needs to explain his vote to the Delaware citizens? Shouldnt we be calling for an immediate Town Hall meeting at the very least?

I think you’re right anonymous. There is a frightening drumbeat for war with Iran (one that will certainly draw in at least Russia, and maybe China) going on in the senate and media. It almost feels like it has already been decided and what we’re seeing is the attempt to sell it. We have to demand that we not be taken to another middle eastern war.
