Romney Won’t Participate In Pre-Super Tuesday Debate

Filed in National by on February 16, 2012

Via TPM:

Mitt Romney will not participate in the Republican presidential primary debate on March 1 in Georgia. “Governor Romney will be spending a lot of time campaigning in Georgia and Ohio ahead of Super Tuesday,” Romney spokeswoman Andrea Saul emails. “With eight other states voting on March 6th, we will be campaigning in other parts of the country and unable to schedule the CNN Georgia debate. We have participated in 20 debates, including 8 from CNN.”

Okay… Why would he do this, and will this hurt him, or help him?

The best Roms could hope for is third (again) regardless of participating in the debate. I think this is very bad for him; he’s being kicked around more now than ever for his conserva-creds, the frothy one is gaining momentum and MoonBase could resurrect a third time especially in his birth state.
Though it takes great effort to be objective when digesting these numerous debates, I’ve yet to watch one where at least one of those guys doesn’t alienate a sect of the GOP.

And CNN cancels the debate, saving Pandora from having to live blog another hot mess these GOP fools have gotten into.

They cancelled that sorta fast — I’m thinking that they are relieved not to be part of the clown show again.

  5. If Mitt Romney can’t handle CNN can we trust him with Iran policy?

  6. Jason330 says:

cancelled? It as if the universe is just out to fuck with Ron Paul supporters.

Well, if they hadn’t postponed it, they would have had two empty suits pointing at an empty chair.
