From the files of “What Could Go Wrong:” Romney’s new debate coach is Brett O’Donnell, who had been working as a strategist for Michele Bachmann.

From the files of “No Way Will This Last:” In Massachusetts’ U.S. Senate race, both Sen. Scott Brown (R) and Elizabeth Warren (D) have reached an agreement to restrict third-party-group spending in their race. How can you two candidates restrict third party spending? The campaigns each say they will punish themselves with donations to charity should a supporting SUPER Pac ad run. Yeah, that’ll work.

Gingrich has raised $2 million since South Carolina. Which was only this past weekend, but for some reason feels like a lifetime ago now.

I would say this is unbelieveable but:

    http://www.courant.com/community/east-haven/hc-east-haven-mayor-tacos-0125-20120124,0,5054089.story

4 police officers were arrested and charged with civil rights violations and their harassement of Latinos – this in a city still reeling from the shooting of an African-American in the back

and this is how the (Republican)mayor responded. Class Act

yep, I would say the Republicans have a Latino problem – the Latinos dont have a Republican problem.

This Mayor is an embarrasement to US Veterans, Firefighters and any other group he belongs to.

  2. Joe Cass says:

Is Dick Jensen out at WDEL?

  3. Preston says:

Joe Cass- we can only hope! And that’s just the beginning !

  4. Jason330 says:

If is true I’m not jumping up and down. Although Jensen is a douche, at least he was a local douche. If he is gone and they replace him with the Rush or Hannity feed, that’s bad for the state.

  5. Jason330 says:

Jensen is on now and doesn’t sound like he is going anywhere.

  6. A chortling, chirpy Jensen had none other than Grover Norquist on via phone yesterday. That is WDEL NCC conservative bread and butter. He isn’t going anywhere.

Paul Clark has a primary opponent. :-). Bill Shahan told me his presser will be Saturday at noon in Bellefonte. Will the DEM HQ stay out of it? The CLNCC hosted a panel of Union Presidents last week and they pretty much said that Clark is cooking the books and not being truthful about staffing levels and services.

I had the unpleasant experience to hear the mental midget on that frequency as well. Am I speculating or prognosticating, I don’t know. Check his twitter account. I’ve got two cents to bet his show goes bye bye.
To clarify, both Jensen AND Norquist are midgets, I mean mental midgets.

  8. anonymous says:

Is this a rumor or a wish that Jenson might be out? Jenson is a rabid liar (even if local). He will say anything with or without facts. I was told a few years by a host who was on with him, that Jenson gets his talking points from the republican party and especially the CATO Institute, funded by the Koch Brothers.

  9. Joe Cass says:

I am not starting a rumor! I’d rather drive him out of town on a rail. I’m simply putting pieces together and the fact remains I am regularly wrong. I’d hate to hear a national show in that slot and WDEL is the only place you’ll find the best in the business Alan Loudell.
What happened to Ass Jensen’s WDEL twitter account? I’ve been laid off two weeks but where are the callers? Why so much Flaherty Bros.?
I posited the idea here because our hosts and guests here know better than I.
(but if i’m correct i want full credit.)JOKING! Like the smile on Callista’s face!

  10. kavips says:

I have always found Jensen to be fair and a good listener. I think he is far more libertarian than Republican. I think he is far more Main Street, than Wall Street.

He also has good taste in Beer.

Many far more partisan than I, may disagree, but I think Delaware Politics would not have gotten FOIA into the General Assembly without Jensen’s support. I also think Brandywine School District, would be less well run, if callers weren’t so quick to call him on some of the outlandish proposals some administration people had proposed.

It is a very close secret, but Democrats can go too far left. I’d rather have Mascitti balanced by a Rick Jensen, than someone on crack… I’m sorry, I meant to say prescription pain killers over-prescribed by a physician….

  11. Jason330 says:

So this moon base that Newt wants to build… my second amendment rights to carry my 9mm glock will be honored I assume. Also, I trust that no food containing human fetuses will be served.

These seem like small issues, but I think it is best to work them out up front.

  12. puck says:

“It is a very close secret, but Democrats can go too far left. ”

    Like who?

I only know about Democrats who stuck with their Democratic principles while the party moved to the right.

It seems to me that by the time you go too far left, you have exited the Democratic party. But you can go pretty much all the way to the right and still run as a Democrat.
