The O’Donnell Endorsement of Romney Just Got Funnier

Filed in National by on December 14, 2011

How much comedy can O’Donnell squeeze out of her endorsement of Mitt Romney? Apparently there is a bottomless reserve.

Christine O’Donnell, who has endorsed Mitt Romney, appeared on CNN Wednesday and inadvertently drew attention to one of the charges against the former Massachusetts governor from his critics – flip-flopping.

“That’s one of the things that I like about him — because he’s been consistent since he changed his mind” O’Donnell said.

She’s like a Republican Yogi Beara.

That will definitely fit on a bumper sticker. That is right up there with “I was for it before I was against it.”

  2. MJ says:

“Following O’Donnell endorsement, Romney’s campaign released a statement Tuesday calling O’Donnell a “leader in the conservative movement….”

I want some of whatever Romney’s campaign people are smoking.

  3. MJ says:

I just found out why Chrissie-pooh endorsed Romney – Gringrich didn’t give her the eye (of Newt).

  4. puck says:

“I’ve been consistent since I changed my mind” – funny, that’s what Newt tells all his wives.

Everybody wants a little of that O’Donnell mojo. I just got this fund-raising email from Delaware Dems:

    Dear Jason330,
I thought it was a typo at first because I didn’t think it could be true – who would want Christine O’Donnell’s endorsement?
But Mitt Romney is bragging about the endorsement she gave him last night. He said, “Christine recognizes that excessive government threatens us now and threatens future generations, and I am pleased to have her on my team.”
We know Christine O’Donnell is too radical for Delaware, and now Mitt Romney says he’s part of that same Tea Party team.

Together, we can show Mitt and Christine that their ideas are too extreme for Delaware.

“Too extreme.” Finally people are calling regular run of the mill modern Republicanism what it is – extreme.

You forget the difference between Yogi Berra and Christine O’Dodo. Yogi did some things well.

The Hannity Show was sponsored in part by Crayola.

Seriously – the whole thing is just an attempt to sell more books. Any nut job who supports Bachmann already bought one (of the 1,700 sold nationwide). But there are a bunch of Romney supporters who have NO IDEA who she is. Untapped market for book buyers.

I think she really is Christine O’Delusional – does she think people actually care about who she endorses – oh that’s right – she thinks she is somebody.

Anyone can ridicule anybody. There is no end. Quite often ridicule is heaped on the wrong person.

Christine took down Mike Castle. She opened the door for Coons. For that reason alone, she deserves respect. Most of what she was teased for, came from the 80’s… In my humble opinion, we all should be teased for what we believed in the 80’s.

    Seriously.

The balance of what she was teased for, came from the poor handling by those “appointed” to run her campaign. Had upon winning the election, she created news, instead of hiding the first couple of weeks and letting the news cycles define her campaign, she today, may have had more respect.

She took out Castle. That has to account for something…

(Seriously, I don’t think your readers could have handled Jason’s whining over Mike Castle for a whole ‘nother 6 years….)

  10. giddy voter says:

kavips – sorry – her discredit doesn’t come from what she did in the 80s, it’s about the absolute lies she told in the campaign(s)

    1) the fictitious degree she had that she talked about in all 3 campaigns that she hadn’t yet received from Farleigh Dickenson.

    2) when speaking out of state at a PA fundraiser – she said that she won 2 counties in the 2 election against Joe Biden. LIE. And when Gaffney on WGMD asked her about it – her claim was that on the campaign you are going to bed late and getting up early. SHE WON ZERO counties and there are only 3 in Delaware. How does it go from her winning ZERO to winning 2 of the 3 of the counties? She wasn’t tired, she lied to a group of out of state voters who had no idea of the last election results.

I could care less about what she did in the 80s. And Mike Castle had his people hiding in her bushes? Really?

  11. kavips says:

Yes, he did. And they are still picking out the thorns. 🙂

I understand it was because Romney flip-flopped on masturbation.

I predict her endorsement sound-bite will outlive “You’re no JFK”. Trying to think of another bumper-sticker sized quote from a politician that will live as long as this one will. Maybe “Tippee Canoe and Tyler Too”?

I saw the clip on some channel news show last night. Just awesome.
