Cohen Makes Flirty Eyes at Kovach

Filed in National by on October 14, 2011

In her most recent blog post, Cohen gets wistful over the good old days when imagining a Kovach vs. KWS match-up.

Stewart’s woes could be an opening, especially for someone like Kovach. In a state known for its middle-of-the-road politics, he is a moderate Republican in the mode of Mike Castle.

The race for insurance commissioner could be the Republicans’ best chance for finding their first Democrat-buster since Rich Gebelein and ending that deathly losing streak.

It could also be a beachhead toward higher office, something the Republicans could dearly use. It is working so far for Matt Denn, the Democrat who moved from insurance commissioner to lieutenant governor, presumably with designs on governor in 2016.

Jeeez… We get it Celia. Don’t make a spectacle out of yourself. It makes everybody uncomfortable when you start squirming around on your chair like that.

It must be sad to be an old school GOP hanger on, these days. “Where are the champagne fundraisers of yesterday?”

  2. ‘(Fill in the blank) is a moderate Republican in the mode of Mike Castle’.

Proof that cut-and-paste requires less effort than thinking.

    • What the hell is a moderate Republican? A politician that votes with Boehner & McConnell but doesn’t buy into that birth certificate stuff?

I swear I’m sick of hearing that repealing regulations will create jobs. Put your money where your mouth is – what regulations and how many jobs? CBO score please.

And in the meantime, Kovach is busily peddling the *business uncertainty* canard over on his Facebook page. So he apparently isn’t going to be much of a moderate if he is just going to repeat the already debunked talking points.

If he plans on being “a moderate Republican in the mode of Mike Castle’” it will be wall to wall debunked wingnut talking points peppered with sighs and regrets about not being able to vote on the “better” legislation.

If Kovach was elected in the 6th District and only lost by 400 votes in the midst of O’Donnell the witch… he has to be moderate. I see a bad case of tunnel vision.

    WillB,

UI’s point stands uncosntested. If elected, how the hell could a moderate Republican express his moderation?

He mat seem moderate enough in his speech and dress, but he knows that you need to get RWNJ’s to vote for you to win a DEGOP primary.

And is you are willing to appeare at Hatefest 2011, and the teabag rally in Wil-min-tun, yo are willing to follow Boener.
