Yeah, it has been a slow couple of days around here. It’s the dog days of August, what can I say. Next weekend we have the Jamboree, so we have that to look forward to. Will Joltin Joe Biden be back from China in time to make an appearance?

It would be great to have the VP back up on a picnic table orating, but the Secret Service makes that such a pain for the organizers and attendees. I haven’t seen any signs that the good folks down in Sussex are gearing up for this.

Regarding the jamboree, I hope that Cape Henlopen State Park officials don’t over react like Georgetown did with Returns Day. Hint — unless his office ecologist says he coming, he will NOT be at the event. There’s no reason get all hysterical and shut down half the park.

We miss Joe at the Jamboree. My guess is that he’s not going to be there. They’d have to close off the park hours before the start and that would piss off a lot of day trippers and people who are just there to enjoy the beach.

I am the Jamboree emcee. The Vice-President will not be there. Attending so far are Governor Markell, Lt. Governor Denn, Attny General Beau Biden, Insurance Commissioner Stewart. We do not have confirmation from Senators Carper or Coons, nor from Rep. Carney

Why, do you want to try out your new knee pads?

Will there be “Questions from the Constituents” or an “Open Mike” segment?
I still have a few for Baby Beau Biden.

“The Peach Festival ran out of peaches.”
Middletown ran out of peach orchards shortly after the peach blight, called the “yellows” in the early 1900s.
We need a new iconic town produce/manufactured good/or service to celebrate.

Gaddafi is about to fall in Libya. Al Jazeera liveblog.
Sky News has a live feed of Libya. The journalists are terrifyingly close to the fighting.
