Happy DADT Repeal Day!

Filed in National by on July 22, 2011

The repeal of DADT will be official today.

Defense officials say Pentagon chief Leon Panetta will certify that gays may serve openly in the armed services. News of his decision comes two weeks after top military leaders agreed that repealing the 17-year-old ban will not hurt military readiness.

The Pentagon announcement is expected Friday, and Obama is expected to endorse it.

Repeal of the ban would become effective 60 days after certification, which could open the military to gays by the end of September.

One more step to full equality.

Also, I wish they had at least one totally gay special forces unit, similar to the Japanese-American units that fought in Europe. The documentaries 40 years from now would be worth it.

Purely as psychological warfare, it couldn’t hurt to add a few ounces of glitter to our bombs.

To the psychological warfare end, we should spread the rumor that the glitter itself turns you gay, and then just drop glitter bombs on them.

    Now that’s regime change.
