  2. Crunchy says:

What’s he saying? I’m on the road.

  3. puck says:

Confirms Breitbart’s version; not resigning. Sniffles, choked up.

  4. jason330 says:

All he has to do is not resign. He’ll win re-election.

  5. Crunchy says:

Why do so many smart men do such dumb things when it comes to sex? I’m a guy, and Weiner’s stupidity astounds me. Moron.

  7. nemski says:

Wow Breibart was right which proves the axiom that a broken clock is right twice a day.

  8. skippertee says:

    Well,that’s that.
Now,who will step up to take his place?

  9. Auntie Dem says:

    Sheesh, just sheesh.

  10. Weiner is a dick.

  11. Von Cracker says:

    He’s got street cred now.

    Run for mayor!

  12. Auntie Dem says:

    Good one U.I.

I’m just disgusted. Scroll down the DL front page and you get Weiner and Edwards and DeLuca. It is not good.

  13. Dana Garrett says:

He shouldn’t have lied about it last week, but I can’t help but wonder if this would be a non-story elsewhere like Europe.

  14. donviti says:

So really, all this means is that all the weiner jokes….are now true.

This guy has now ruined it for all the non weiner, weiner’s out there

  15. mediawatch says:

    Not to mention Bob Weiner.

  16. Avagadro says:

    he’s a dem, it’s a resume enhancer.

(and is squashes the “light in the loafers” talk.

  17. Liberal Elite says:

It’s not the act. It’s the coverup.
I really cannot tolerate a politician who gets in front of a camera and makes blatant lies.
(That’s one reason I so much dislike the bulk of the GOP …bunch of liars).

If he hadn’t lied, I would have said “so what”.
But with the lies, what else is he willing to lie about?

    He’s done. Bye Bye.

  18. puck says:

“Weiner is a dick” … “Good one U.I.”

    Well that didn’t last long.

See how useful language can be when you can use all of it?

  19. jason330 says:

If I heard that ‘Breitbart was coming after me, my first reaction would be, “its bullshit.” That’s what a normal person’s reaction would be given Breibart’s history.

The only victim here is the wife.

  20. cassandra_m says:

    he’s a dem, it’s a resume enhancer.

(and is squashes the “light in the loafers” talk.

You have to admit that this worked for Senator David Vitter (R- Diapers)– who had the additional embellishment of all of that showy GOP Family Values bullshit AND felony prostitution!

Oh wait. Vitter isn’t a Dem. But the resume enhancer business still works — there’s plenty of Rs who’ve been able to leverage that.

  21. socialistic ben says:

I dont understand why he hasn’t resigned yet. He is a lying, cheating pig. His dishonesty compromises the causes he supposedly fights for (we cant really trust his motives or platforms anymore) He needs to be run out of the House on a rail and a new suit should take his place.

i remember one time i thought he could be a major player in this country. someone who was “different”. At this point im expecting an Obama child labor/ 34 mistresses and force feeding heroine to nuns scandal

  22. puck says:

He might keep his seat but I don’t see how he gets his mojo back after this.

I especially objected to all that snuffling in the press conference. I’d much rather he had stood up and said “Yeah, I sent the pictures. Now how about that Clarence Thomas?”

Weiner is at heart a jokester, a prankster, an anti-authoritarian. Which is probably why we liked him. But if you want to be a prankster in Congress you also need an iron core of discipline, which apparently Weiner lacks.

Also: Is using Twitter any less vain and egotistical if you are only sending G-rated material?

  23. Geezer says:

“Is using Twitter any less vain and egotistical if you are only sending G-rated material?”

No, but it’s considerably less embarrassing.

I’m with Liberal Elite: The lying is the bigger problem.

  24. puck says:

Not sure I can wait that long.

  25. phil says:

Delaware girls apparently NOT too ugly for Congressman Weiner!
