Job Fair in Dover Tomorrow

Filed in National by on May 30, 2011

Delaware’s Congressional Delegation — Senator Coons, Senator Carper and Representative Carney — are hosting a job fair tomorrow at the Delaware Technical and Community College in Dover from 9AM to 2PM. Governor Markell and the Mayor of Dover are also expected to be on hand. 70+ employers are confirmed to be on hand to meet potential applicants, and there will be skills seminars ongoing throughout the day.

There’s more detail (including a list of potential employers in attendance)here

There was a job fair in Wilmington some weeks back hosted by this delegation and it apparently was a big success. Please pass this information on to anyone you know who is looking for employment. This is a great opportunity and it’s good to get the word out.

  1. A Citizen says:

Given the contribution of Democrats to the economy during the Obama years, this event is more accurately describes as a “no jobs fair”.

  2. cassandra_m says:

Given the contribution of the Republicans to actually crashing and burning this economy enough that it will still be years before it recovers, you can take ownership of the fact that jobs aren’t coming back quickly, either.

It isn’t as though we’ve been through this before. And how pathetic of you to be back here once again, under one more sockpuppet name. You get a day off and you are back here to get your ass spanked again. You’ve been warned more times than I can count about this sockpuppetry and here you are spreading the talking points again. How much do they pay you for this?

  3. A Citizen says:

No, cassandra. The unicorn-riding demigod in the White House President of the United States, Barack Obama, assured us that the stimulus package would drop unemployment and bring about an economic renaissance. So did his court jester Vice President Joe Biden. Instead, their policies led to a greater economic downturn. You don’t get to lay this one on the GOP, especially since those policies were adopted by a Democrat-controlled Congress at the behest of a Democrat administration.

And when the BLUNT-SKULLS ran in 2010 it was all about JOBS!JOBS! JOBS!
They take control of congress and it’s all about ABORTION!The DEFICIT! And “Obama-care!”
Screw you partial recollection A[is for ass-hole]Citizen!

You DO get to lay this off on the GOP since they were the ones who created the need for any kind of economic recovery in the first place. And nor have they been helped at all by your pals to get out of this mess. The stimulus package certainly prevented unemployment from getting worse than it was. The stimulus should have been bigger. But that in no way absolves you and yours with the destruction in the first place — a destruction that we’ll be feeling the effects of for a long time yet.

    See ya later, sockpuppet.
