The following is a guest post by Mike Oboryshko. Mike is a Red Clay parent and a friend of mine and of this blog.
In Part 1, I introduced the Education Insight Project, and went over the RFPs that define the beginning of design and implementation. In Part 2, we will get into some more detail.
What [...]

General Assembly Post-Game Wrap-Up/Pre-Game Show: Weds., March 16, 2011

The return of the Solomonic solons to Dover apparently took Legislative Council by surprise. Either that, or there were some new, very exciting, solitaire games uploaded to their computers. The supposed information and research arm of the General Assembly provides this detailed snapshot of what went on yesterday. That’s right, in legislative time, according to [...]

Update on Sussex County GOP

It seems that the Ron Sams resignation is music to the ears of the teabaggers. But these folks aren’t done.
Last week, Cape School Board member and 9/12 “Patriot” Sandi Minard, published a letter calling Sams a liar concerning the need to move the February and March meetings of the Sussex GOP. Our friends [...]

Sheriff Jeff Wants to Be Supercop

Today was the day that Sussex County Sheriff Jeff “Supercop” Christopher (Teabag-Sussex) made his initial presentation to the County Council. Prior to this morning’s meeting, Supercop had never spoken to the Council, although he has accused them in emails to the 9/12 “Patriots” of blocking his agenda.
I knew the day would start [...]

Delaware General Assembly Pre-Game Show: Tuesday, March 15, 2011

They’re ba-a-a-ck, and so am I.
The Delaware General Assembly reconvenes this afternoon in Legislative Hall, and they are primed for a run of about a month or so before the Easter break.
Two topics will dominate talk in the Hall during that time–money and redistricting.
I fully expect all four caucuses to discuss both of these topics [...]

Modern Republicanism Exposed

Lawrence Kudlow candidly betrayed typical Modern Republican cruelty when, regarding Japan, he said “The human toll here looks to be much worse than the economic toll and we can be grateful for that.”

That but of inhumanity didn’t cause a sir, because we all know individual Republicans are heartless. This is dog bites man stuff. What is interesting, and frankly shocking…

Nuclear Power, When it Fails it Fails Big

It is like playing with fire, except the fire is extremely poisonous.

TOKYO — Japanese officials announced Sunday that the cooling system at a second nuclear reactor crippled by Japan’s devastating earthquake had failed completely, even as they took the extraordinary step of flooding a separate reactor with seawater in a last-ditch effort to avoid a nuclear meltdown.

“Teabag Governor Says “F-YOU” to the Governed” of the Day: FL’s Rick Scott

With so many vying for the title of “Most Stupid Teabag Governor” there is a perpetual traffic jam between Chris Christie, Scott, Walker, Rick Perry, and Florida’s Rick Scott. Florida Gov. Rick Scott’ decision to rejected high speed rail, jobs, and $28 million a year put him out in front temporarily a few weeks ago, but now we find that Scott’s teabag-onomics will keep him in the running for years to come.
