Sussex County Angel Weighs In On The Basketball Net Saga, And Crosses A Big Line

Filed in Delaware by on March 28, 2011

Sussex County Angel has put up a post titled Government Gone Wild!  DelDOT Workers Take Toys From Children?

Check out where she goes with this…

In true Government Gone Wild spirit, we now have a revealing video featuring what can only be drunk state workers (or, one may be sure, alcohol may be a factor the Department of Transportation wishes they could call responsible).  [emphasis mine]

Oh my.  What can only be drunk state workers?  That’s quite an accusation.  It’s also completely irresponsible.  (Psst… I suppose the poorly structured sentence in parentheses is her attempt to walk back the accusation.  Good luck with that.)

Mongo has idea. If you have an opinion regarding her post, she will be live on wgmd radio tonight, starting at 9 pm. No call screeners, or anything. Just taking calls.

    945-2050

Mongo plans to ride the ox into town tonight, with pocketful of quarters, pull up a stool next to the pay phone and give this Angel person a call. Mongo hopes the line will be busy from all the others calling her, demanding an apology, and asking what evidence she has that the workers were drinking.

Mongo wants to tell her that the DelDOT people in the video are just state workers doing their jobs.

  7. skippertee says:

Hey Mahaffie, how’s ’bout that idea I had?

  8. Aoine says:

I dont think her little blog post is going to go over well with Deldot workers that live in Sussex County, or anywhere else for that matter.

@skipper – Whhaaaaatt>> is that how you keep your girlish figure so svelte?

  19. Aoine says:

Markell is a Republican? LOL – is that why he supports Civil Unions and speaks pretty good Spanish? believes in unions for public and private business etc?

better tell that to the GOP – and down in Sussex you would be tarred and feathered for the idea with the nut jobs.

    he’s a fiscally conservative Democrat – wow – imagine!

that’s why so many of us voted for him.

  20. MJ says:

Anonymous is a fool and Angel is just an embarrassment to bloggers everywhere. She’s worships at the feet of Delusional David and the only reason she got hired by WGMD was so they could say they employ a Democrat. She’s an idiot.

  21. Aoine says:

@MJ – this is just how much of an idiot:

and rather indicative of what a numbskull (blunt-shull, some say) she is – taken for her FB pg – public profile

  27. Aoine says:

OK – learn to spell my name – or cut and paste it – Odd you spell it like our former visitor Newshound…

and really, in this day and age does it really matter WHAT letter soneome has after their name? D – R – L I?

Dont know about you, but I vote issues and candidates, not party. I know R’s I would vote for over D;s, and D’s I would vote for over R’s – being “liberal” dont necessarily mean one is a D -that is certinly a rush to judgement. But most Liberals aactually think outside the box

I dont need my politics spoon-fed to me at least

BTW – your Spanish sucks, I cannot comprehend what you even tried to say – stick with English, its all you go,t coz a brain trust you are not.

  28. anonymous says:

DEL LIB POSTER CLAIMS, “does it really matter WHAT letter soneome has after their name? D – R – L I?”

    Aoine, short for AnnOyINg onE

“Brain trust” Where did you pull that one out of, (to put it nicely.) Do Del Lib posters think they’re Markell’s “Brain Trust.” Haaa ha ha.

Party affiliation matters when the general public is FOOLED to vote for a ‘democrat’ and they end up electing a ‘republican.’

Moving on; one cannot help you, with what you cannot comprehend.

Try learning English and it’s proper usage in sentences with correct spelling and punctuation, before giving advice, teacher.

Someone – not soneome; doesn’t instead of dont; Don’t not Dont; Certainly, not certinly; actually, not aactually; it’s, not its; got, not go,t; because, not coz

If you speak like you write, you’d sound like a drunk.

  32. anonymous says:

STATE OPERATION ‘CLEAR KIDS’ MISSION ACCOMPLISH

“At http://www.delawarepolitics.net/ posts “Operation March Sadness” and “Malissa McCafferty: Brave Citizen,” I see greater support for citizens’ rights; and at Delaware Liberal, support for state’s rights.

Makes a heretofore lifetime democrat,(from a century of democrats) suddenly realize what tea party is saying about Freedom of Speech, Right to Assemble, the long list of violations surrounding operation, ‘Clear Kids.’

Makes one wonder why DelDOT, the State Police, can use kids as the excuse to enforce a real estate statue, when in fact they need no excuse; it’s a real estate status on the books. Why ignore all other (tens of thousands) of violations of the same ‘Clear Zone’ real estate statue and use the statue to “Clear Kids” from a specifically, targeted area in a discriminatory manner.

Makes one wonder why the state refused to respond to official inquires by the targeted individuals; when instead, tens of thousands of state taxpayers’ money was spent using over sized, State heavy duty equipment, with a dozen State personnel, including armed State police, five State police cars, etc. on a needlessly overblown, State Police/ DelDOT State agency joint discriminatory fiasco. Why were the hoops being driven away, instead of left to be put in the kids yards? Nice Markell. Maybe you could sell the hoops back to them. It was good News Journal was there.

Why was immediate armed action taken in the mist of a state created, potentially dangerous situation taking place (around a 5 inch diameter space, in a obscure sub division cal- de-sac.) Why were these parents told to get in their house, after the fact; silenced and threatened with arrest when they are on their own front yard, when engaged in no illegal activity other than expressing their opinion through (First Amendment Right) (Right to Assemble) for questioning why they were lied to by the police and/or DelDOT” after the specific criminal pole was captured and DelDOT’s army was in the street leaving, surrounded by armed State police. “Clear kids,” Mission Accomplished.

    The offense? Kids playing hoop.

This method of “Clear Kids” needs to go court as well.

The kids weren’t “attached” to the “Clear Zone,” a real estate statue. The “Clear Kids” attack took place in one of the very few neighborhoods where kids brave coming out to play.

Look along the roads (one could quickly point out the stone walls, dangerous industrial rock piles, chain fences, farmers crops, over grown shoulders, trash, ornaments, stockade fences, benches, broken sidewalks, cars, trees, stumps, branches, hundreds of ‘other’ B hoops, violations by the tens of thousands. Where’s the DelDOT/State police action against these?

What’s next, Get those playing kids! What are you doing out of the house! What next, police beatings, armed patrols, police tazzers….(Let’s pretend that doesn’t happen.)

People need to complain. The lack of action is why perverts roam free, as kids are locked up in their homes. Many of the generation age 20-50s are doing a lousy job, if no job at all, at protecting the rights of their kids to even be able to safety come out of their houses. It wasn’t so, when the now 60-80 yr olds were at their prime. Soon, the older folks won’t be around to remind them of that. The next generation will think, kids are to be raised in their rooms unless escorted out by an adult.

Drive around ANY sub division now; no kids. Weekends, no kids outside. Many are medically obese from lack of playing, huffing and puffing when they run 100 ft. They are in their houses unless mommy or daddy rides a bike along side them, drives them to a ‘play date.’ And it has to be that way for the kids safety because this generation chooses to not pay attention.

Kids playing in front of the house? Call the police, call DelDOT. Have “Clear Kids” swoop the streets. Send the kids back to their rooms. Let’m watch perverts, rapes, murders, greedy reality ego pig shows on TV, listen to Viagra, drug commercials, instead of playing a game of hoops. Watch the time. Time to line up outside the school doors, open the car door, let the kid in, lock the car doors, escort you kid into his room. Who’s the locked up State prisoners? Kids. Who is letting the politicians run the state for the corporate interests, with no interests in what always had been a kid’s right – to come out of the house and safely play – until this generation.

Millions of tons of most hazardous waste known to man, feet from your rivers, draining into your aquifers; a million tons of spent fuel rods a couple of miles away; belching fossil fuel smoke stacks; CO2 changing the climate; a government run by the few,the ultra rich and corporate interests. If you complained about any of their hazardous conditions, would the State rush in with police escorts? Quite the opposite. A couple of kids, playing B ball. Think of the video again; the image of the protesting mother perched on a pole. Think about the huge corporate violations of your rights mentioned in this paragraph; anyone care about those? Hello Jason. You expect someone to defend your right not to live in a nuclear fallout radius? That’s a tall order. Yet people do, you’re welcome. Would you defend the right of kids to play?

This generation keeps their kids locked up in their houses. Be quiet, don’t complain. Who cares. Attack anyone who dares to object. Del Lib posters call people who object – silly, knob sculled, idiots, on and on. Anonymous says – look in the mirror. Look at your child locked out from what every generation until yours could safety do – come out to play. The truth is, the present generation, is the generation that will be leaving their own children to face an environment that will change the face of the earth and will not sustain life as you knew it. Next generations won’t even know how things were supposed to be.

Quietly and obediently don’t drink the water, don’t breathe the Red Alert air, don’t eat the fish, don’t swim there, don’t let the kids out, stay out of the sun, live in the nuclear radius, don’t speak up, shelter in your houses, don’t complain, don’t think. yes master yezzz. zz—mm- – – – – – – –

  33. Aoine says:

    OK – anonymous – How’s this?

beseme culo pinche hombre, pandejo, cuno…

hey, if you are stupid enough to fall for the letter after someone’s name, and use that in your voting criteria, well, shame on you.

and when or if I feel a need for lesson in spelling, grammar and/or colloquial English, I will be sure NOT to ask you.

If grammar and spelling are so important to you, go start your own blog, but until then, your views are totally irrelevant in here.

and I’m glad I am soooooo annoying. 🙂

  34. Brian Shields says:

Why do y’all take talking heads seriously? I mean.. anyone who is paid to speak an opinion designed to gather ratings.. their opinions are affected by those ratings and therefore unable to be taken seriously.

Angel is NO Democrat. She was part of SCCOR, Treasurer, I believe, which merged with the 9/12 Delaware Patriots. If anything she leans Libertarian with her views (although I cannot confirm her registration, just my opinion), stated publicly on her show she is not a registered Republican.

  35. Aoine says:

@Brian – oh – we know that! However, Lou Dobbs, Glen Beck, Hannity etc should have that disclaimer on their shows as well. The folks that listen to them think they are stating facts, that’s the problem, there is no accountability in broadcasting.

Maybe Angel ought to brush up on state civil libel and slander laws – there is being paid to have an opinion, then there is stating something as fact. Unfortunatelym the 9/12ers and the WGMD fans belive this stuff is true. No accounting for stupid.

I don’t think saying state workers are on the job drunk can be covered under “opinion”

She did not quite “couch” it correctly, and that may cost ($$) her “credability”, not that she ever had any – even Bill Colley called her out on it, and that is saying something!

really, anyone who paints their toesnails with the Gadsden flag can’t be taken seriously anyway.

  36. anon. says:

I remember seeing her one time talking about morals with a hicky on her neck the size and color of a plum…classy!

  37. phil says:

    really?

Angel isn’t some enigma. A bunch of us went to high school with her right here in georgetown. It isn’t as if she’s trying to remain anonymous. In fact, she’s made herself a public figure.

  38. phil says:

also, it’s FANTASTIC that she isn’t registered to vote.

  39. skippertee says:

    Gadsden flag on her toenails?
Who does this work for her?
It’s springtime and my toes will soon come out of hibernation.
I’ll have them painted in the good, old red, white and blue with the caption: THESE COLORS DON’T RUN!
At my age, I don’t either.
    But I walk briskly.
